  1. The card takes the time off the camera, if you don't know how to reset it, then take a photo and see what time it says, then work it out. I generally find that mornings are best, but the weather will have an effect and make them arrive late.
  2. Quality work sells its self mate, stunning.
  3. Strange behaviour from. A sparrowhawk today, rather than flying through the gardens doing a hit and run, it was soring on the thermals like a buzzard would, it was just dipping up and down over the gardens at quite a height, I couldn't see how it expected to catch anything where it was.
  4. Great news, especially as there's more reds
  5. They might be a bit deep those Nev, the birds use the door mouse boxes in one of the woods I shoot, there tiny looking boxes but always full of birds.
  6. More shots and it should be quieter with the shroud than a Mod, give it a chance you may just like it.
  7. So what's wrong with the shroud?? Is it just about the overall length?
  8. https://www.theratworks.co.uk/new-air-rifles If your thinking about a tune & a new gun take a look at what ratworks sell, new guns with their fairy dust on them, or you try and find a cheap gun then have it tuned, I've read loads of posts on tuning but haven't needed it doing as yet.
  9. Well I have a Mk2 R10 and can't fault it, looks great, handles great & shoots great. It feels solid, very similar to my rapid. I've held a 510 but it was unscopped and certainly longer, the reg on the R10 is the weak point and customer service is debatable going off feed back on the forums. If you buy new there both probably a grand or more now, I'd try and buy from somewhere that gives a lifetime warranty, but I wouldn't buy new I'd look at second hand.
  10. Have you handled either?? That's the first thing you need to do, there's a big difference in both rifles, the bsa super carbine is a lot shorter than the 500 series, both great guns.
  11. Great session πŸ‘ πŸ‘Œ Wise decision, and a warmer one πŸ˜„
  12. Crack on, wet and wild here, not a day for the air rifle.
  13. Sounds like a win, just remind her that folk in the Lakes have had no power for nearly a week, its like the stone age, I can see sales of generators going up.
  14. And I pictured you going everywhere in an old Land rover 😳😳
  15. The annoying thing is my brother does MOTs part time, but you can guarantee if we go over in my car it's lashing down so it gets left.
  16. Is it a Ford? I watched a video on the newest Mondeo and it sounds like that, I couldn't believe what had to be done just to change a light bulb. I often have to double check my lights are on as they seem so poor sometimes but everything is working??

It helps me, but some films and TV are still a pain the way they're made, you get things just right so you aren't struggling to listen to conversations then the action starts and it's so loud you have to turn it down, then up then..... The other thing that's strange is where you watch programs from, we have a free view box and if we watch through that the TV volume will be on 20, but watch through the smart TV or the dongle thingy πŸ˜‰ and it's on maybe 11
  18. That sounds like water or radiators, maybe a manual override? Stick a picture up then the plumber folk know what there looking at.
  19. Is there enough pressure to make the heating work? I bled the rads last week but then didn't check the pressure later, school boy error and really popular in the morning.
  20. It's the reason people like seeing them in their gardens, look how many places that sell bird food do a squirrel mix, but most folk will never have seen a red in the wild and so see greys as being native. Like you say education is key, Knowsley safari Park are supposed to be putting in a red squirrel area, and looking to clear the estate of greys, but the biggest effect they can have is educating people as to why reds and greys can't live happily together.
  21. That's an interesting observation πŸ€” I went out this afternoon, vandalised one feeder to let the feed flow a bit more, but taking the metal strip off seems to have got the squirrels using it now? Then put up another small feeder in the spot I found last week, 1.6kg of black sunflower seeds should get the squirrels attention. I didn't notice much damage in the wood, but there could be further up or around the hill.
  22. And it won't be just one nuthatch, I often have 3 or 4 on the tree waiting to zip in, fun to watch but that's why peanuts need to go in a flip top, I don't mind feeding the birds but it can get expensive.
  23. I don't disagree with you, and I shoot quite a few πŸ˜‡, but for a lot of people there the only wild mammal they'll see.
