    Strange

Hopefully you all manage to avoid it at your place, on the bright side schools shut in a couple of weeks so I doubt there will be many kids getting tested then. I do think the spread is because people are out in the pubs again, folk keep saying but people aren't dying but its obviously still affecting small businesses like yours. Is there anyway you can split your work force, have lads working early and afternoon shifts? Hopefully then if someone texts positive it doesn't affect everyone and keeps you working?
  2. The pictures I've seen were mature trees, probably 1ft-2ft diameter trunks, and they weren't being coppiced just felled
  3. I've seen a few posts from Scotland and you just think wow, look at the size of that tree they have taken down, and then it takes a JCB to remove a damn built in the wrong place. Like Canada.
  4. Got to be the hardest two birds to separate, so similar. I can't load the video of these Willow tits, the thing is the wood isn't particularly wet, I've had them positively identified from videos I put on a FB Willow tit group. Still seeing more thrushes around as well.
  5. We've still been getting the cock and hen Bullfinches every day pretty much, I'm still waiting for them to bring chicks to the feeder but it's not happened yet.

You would hope they are jabbed or testing regularly as they said earlier that dentistry was one of the most dangerous occupations. This is where something needs to change, I agree that covid should now be getting treated like flu, but you don't send a full year home from school because one kid has flu symptoms, my wife and kids have had at least 4 occasions now where they've been sent home, between 10-14 days a time. My wife home tests twice a week so despite being in a class room full of kids would still be able to work until testing positive surely?? My kids despite being in a classroom with other kids who have tested positive on several occasions haven't yet had symptoms or tested positive using home tests. Lots of things still need addressing.

Has it been said that they will stop testing though? I've never had the App, because I have to be tested in work weekly I never saw the point. I'm going to have to start watching the news again to find out what the plans are? The problem is people are still being hospitalised because of covid, but thankfully far less are dying, you would think everyone would want the vaccine but that's not yet the case.

In some ways yes, but what's the plan when people test positive? Or get told they have been in close contact?? We can't keep sending kids home and closing school years, and meaning parents need to stay home. My work is pretty much unaffected, masks away from your work area and weekly tests, but there are loads of office staff still working from home, that's the same across many areas. Its going to be chaos if they just say that from the 19th there are no further restrictions, because it hasn't stopped, I'm still seeing people wearing masks on their own in cars or walk around which I've never understood.

    Strange

Certainly some strange things getting posted in my area, definitely looks like restrictions will lift on the 19th, with the exception of masks I'm seeing very little distancing, but my area is still being hit massively by kids getting sent home to isolate. https://www.lancs.live/news/lancashire-news/chorley-school-closes-26-teaching-20941598 This is a high school in Chorley which is having to close because of the numbers of pupils and staff that are off. https://www.lancs.live/news/lancashire-news/confidence-lancashire-county-heads-towards-20946194 While this article despite saying Lancashire is still in special measures because of the number of cases, says cases are dropping in Chorley?? And looks on course for restrictions to lift on the 19th, but Lancs are still reporting an average of a 1000 cases a day. Primary schools are still sending kids home because of test results, will this stop if restrictions are lifted?? https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2021/jun/30/younger-male-euro-2020-fans-driving-covid-rise-in-scotland I heard this on the radio and was told first hand just how busy one Glasgow to London train was, so crammed on the train, drinking in the pubs and 1300 test positive, this shows that mixing indoors and socialising normally is still going to spread covid. ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Scotland were allocated 2,600 tickets for Wembley because of Covid restrictions, but thousands more travelled to London despite warnings from the Scottish government and the mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, not to do so unless they had a safe place to watch the match. There were strict entry requirements for Wembley matches, including having a negative Covid-19 test or proof of full vaccination. The report states: “PHS is working with Test and Protect and NHS boards to ensure that all public health actions are taken in the close contacts of these Euro 2020 cases as part of the 32,539 cases that were reported to the Test and Protect case management system during this period.” Nearly three-quarters of these cases were people between 20 and 39 years of age and nine out of every 10 cases were male. Attendance at hospitality venues was the most frequently reported tag, representing 34% of all tags. A relatively small number of cases reported attending the Fan Zone in Glasgow, or Scotland’s two home matches at Hampden. ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ But I have heard very little said about covid in Scotland until this, but then I haven't looked for it. I'm just hoping that when things lift it's not a couple of months before they back track, let's hope people are sensible but that might be too much to ask.
  10. Superb, can't complain about that, and it was CTS I was thinking of.
  11. I've sort of been out, yesterday afternoon and this morning was spent filling feeders, bringing a feeder home for TLC, the bracken was chest high so I'm done going up there till winter, too warm and too much cover. Looks really bad, but it's just the thin ply lids, mixture of chewing and weather. The 18mm ply looks fine, might have a design tweak. The feeder I moved two weeks ago was empty which is a good sign, I'll add another smaller feeder here and a camera see what shows up. Another feeder empty, so topped up and put a camera up. Last feeder was just about empty, all the good stuff was gone, quick look at the camera and I've got two thousand hits!! A third videos, so the lap top is going on later. I put out a fair amount of food so I'm confident there are plenty of squirrels still coming, if it hadn't been for losing two weeks shooting I'd have had an amazing month I'm sure, but I still took 25 without a blank session.
  12. Obviously I couldn't but I can understand your point of view after reading your post, I often think how much harder things would be without the nhs., it could be better across a lot of areas, but I'm glad we have it. I nearly went there, but don't know enough to make a proper comment, I've often thought you should have to pay a deposit to see your GP, to make sure the shirkers show up, if you don't arrive for a dental appointment you get charged. My point, you should start with your GP, and hopefully get the service you received. Half the problem is people who treat A&E like their doctors, but no appointment is needed.
  13. O look theres one now, I wonder how many people are being treated every day by the NHS, and knowing you can just turn up without insurance or a fat bank account. Covid has obviously disrupted things but normally if you injure yourself its straight to A&E, something more long term then your GP, and you don't think for a minute can I afford to get this checked out.

    ENG v GER.

It was a tough match to watch, players falling apart by the end, the England team must have been overjoyed watching that. I just wish they would stop making Sterling challenge for high balls, every defender out there must have a foot on him, but a good win and hopefully a good path to the final.
  15. That's why comments slating the NHS bug me, America is in some ways an amazing country but nothing like the UK, I wouldn't like to be poor living in the states. I always fancied going contracting in Canada, until guys I spoke to told me how cold it was in winter, the idea of being house bound through winter didn't appeal.
  16. If it's the place I'm thinking of it gets well spoken of, they don't mess you around like some might.
  17. Well done, I will have been house bound for two weeks come Friday as my kids had to isolate again, I was on for a bumper month as well.
  18. I'm not surprised with a 10.3 grain pellet, flat head, hollow point or light pellet, and body shots for me, have you tried H&N Barracuda extremes? I can send you some if you want to try them? Or maybe go with RWS powermag, heavy for a flat head, I watched a video a while back with a fella using these on rats, shooting an R10 so should be ok in your Scorpion? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/383564436575?hash=item594e38d45f:g:iUYAAOSwM2Zezn7K Could be cheaper elsewhere??
  19. I'm well behind, only just watched the second half, but had a lot on. I love the idea of the Lions, best of the best, obviously the coach picks players he has worked with well before but that's how it goes. Only the first game, subs were made a bit haphazardly, that needs to be managed better, tired players were how Japan scored. AWJ is a big loss but that's how the Lions goes, CL could have done better getting such a great opportunity, most of the starting 15 did well, some really well. Back three did great, centres especially Henshaw. I thought Sincler did well when he came on. Japan almost played too much rugby and were sometimes there own worse enemies but it makes for an entertaining watch.
  20. Were you getting pass through? I've used 22 pest control on ferals, but not 177 What pellets did you use and how did you get on. If you watch some YouTube videos you do sometimes see holes appear behind the pigeons, certainly not something you want.
  21. You can also screenshot the pictures, they then take up a lot less space 👍
  22. I'd not heard of this one so did a quick google.
  23. £5.99, and click, happy to give that a whirl.
  24. @Saltings was it you who posted about something lightweight to keep the bugs off?
  25. What about Lancaster? Not to far, but no idea what they do.
