  1. Managed a double this morning, both shot out of the pine trees, my cammo works a treat, had an old fella come up to me, said he wasn't sure what i was 🤔 and a squirrel run down the trunk of the pine i was leaning against, needed a bayonet it got that close, it played hide and seek for probably half an hour moving in and out of the branches, but didn't seem concerned about me, I had to move away a bit as i was beyond vertical looking up the tree.

both young juveniles, with another in the garden when i got home, but that one never settled in one spot, but it will at some point.

It's certainly worth thinking about, it is a real shame it de values your rifle though.

    cheers for your thoughts chaps

It does, but it also makes buying second hand cheaper, most gun shops that stock air rifles have FAC guns at lower prices than the sub 12, smaller market.

  3. I was going to shoot a couple of mags off before going out in the morning, but after three shots decided i was happy.

First shot hit the staple bang on, I just hope the squirrels are as obliging in the morning.

3 shots, not enough pellets left to blaze away having fun.

  4. I watched England v Australia late last night, and was expecting a really polished game, fella at the airport had said it was a great game and we had smashed Australia? We were physically better but Australia were poor I thought, a lot of errors on their part and a team in transition.

New Zealand on Saturday is going to be a much harder game against a better team, who won't make the mistakes Australia did, should be a brilliant game.

If Brexit is so bad why didn't JC have a general election when offered is it because they will never win it.

Obviously, the opposition are supposed to want to gain power, but Labour must know they have no chance in a GE, where as the mess we have now in parliament it's as if Labour are in power already.

    👏👏👏

Newsnight are talking about a 3 month extension happening?? That must mean a GE has to happen, how can JC still refuse it 🤔

  6. I managed to avoid any mention of the rugby, i didn't know the Japan v SA result but have just watched it 😭😭 such a shame, i really hoped that Japan could do the unthinkable, SA looked relentless but Japan never quit, had the cherry and white fans been Wiganeers they would have been well gone before the final whistle, the fans were brilliant.

South Africa were just too good.

now to watch the England game 😃

i get my pcp thursday so i will see, ive used springers for over 30 yrs, Love my TX200 HC 177, just nice to have a new toy

And half the weight if your used to a TX

the question is what have you gone for??

  9. have you looked at the sample packs you can get? I don't think price is that important with pellets, more what suits your barrel, lots of choice out there, there have been a few good threads on pellet testing. Power without accuracy won't do you much good.

It was in a maul. First he got a welsh player round the neck, then he released his grip and elbowed him in the head instead. No complaints!

    We'll that was silly wasn't it🤣

Scots man, Irish man, French man and an Australian are in a bar....... Who joins them?

    Cheers Figgy,

I have been keeping my eye on guntrader and have yet to find one that fits the bill. They seem to be silly money or poor condition, if I’m going to pay top dollar I would rather buy new. I traveled down to Oxfordshire last month to have a look at one which was described as “mint”.....should have been described as “ rough old dog that’s been thrown around the back of a landy for a couple of months” and that was in a RFD showroom. 6 hours on the road and £40 of diesel wasted.

someone said to me, one mans mint is anothers 6.

bad though especially from a RFD

I read a review of the 510 tdr this week, looks a very tidy rifle.

I don't know who I'd play at 10 next week. Ireland's kicking game was lamentable tonight, so it wasn't a fair test. I know Ford is a bit of a hit magnet, but his kicking game could irritate the AB's a lot. Play it safe, Farrell at 10 and be predictable, or go for Ford and risk getting hammered?? Tough call!

Nice to have the choice though really, a week to prepare and a great game to follow 😁

  13. I've got almost the same rifle, Webley Axor I'll pop a pic up when I get chance.

Have you looked at chair gun for zeroing your scope? I haven't used it but from what others say it's really useful.

PS Note- I'm only a (Bandwagon Rugby Fan) who watches the 6 Nations and big games that Ireland are involved in or other big games. However when the Anthems and the Haka takes place before kick off tomorrow the blood will be up! I'll be watching with interest on Sunday also.

And me, I watch the highlights program on channel 5 but club and international Rugby union is like two different games.
