    Hatching an egg

I like this idea, would a diy incubator work?
  4. Superb, thanks! Its rare that I shoot rabbits (or anything) prone, it was just to set the scope up.. Much appreciated!
  5. Now that the crops are away I'm finding myself using sticks more on the rabbits. I haven't used my HMR for ages due to not holding zero and months/years of fault finding due to the various permutations, but its now been replaced by Hawke as faulty and i have zero it at 100M prone with tragedy hole groups, so its back! It appears that the POI off sticks is about 8cm higher than prone, is this to be expected or am i doing something wrong? I'd rather not have to rezero and my turrets are under caps so its tricker and less obvious to 'dial in' Thanks!
  6. I've obviously aged dreadfully in lockdown as I am now showing and interest in the garden .. Sadly our gardener passed away 2 years ago and we never replaced her and relied on doing few things ourselves, as such its a bit of a mess and needs a clear out this year and a replan for next with much of the work starting in Autumn (i assume?) I'm keen to do this myself, i don't really want anyone else changing things around as a lot of the plants that Natasha put in remind us of her. Are there any good books to start out with? There sees to be millions of options so some recommendations would be great. Thanks
  7. 1 bird shot across 10 guns?
  8. Excellent, what a wonder set of gestures!
  9. Good news, just don’t drop the rods on a hard floor ( as I discovered yesterday). Then lansky rubber cleaner is a good addition ..
  10. Anyone else watching this? Sad/amazing/inspirational/freaky in equal measure..
  11. The Decathalon equestrian gloves are superb, £10 or so..
  12. That's the first thing he's got right so far.. I agree, it feels like all of these publications or associations are trying to squeeze the last drops out of us before they move onto some other mob .. fishing beware?
  13. I too suffered the mud collecting experience, by the end of one C1km drag I reckon the thing weighed about 120kg with everything in! Now lives in the roof space in the garage.. at £70 for a couple of outing it’s was an expensive lesson... The other Problem I found was on a dry day it encourages you to take all the shooting stuff you own, which isn’t great if you should be relocating but can’t be bothered.. I’m currently trying to reduce the stuff I take with me..
  14. To be honest I think it’s also a case of doing the right thing, if you aren’t driving your risk of claims reduces and so you should have money bacK, I don’t think it’s cynical ..
  15. Ah, I’ve got a black one as my edc, it didn’t occur to me to try that, I’ll give it a go.. Thanks
  16. I think you are right, especially as the but hook could fold the knife back against fingers... would you mind connecting me to your fixed blade chap?
  17. Hi, sorry to bug you... what is your view of this ? It’s not locking and needs a case but otherwise could be great.. https://www.sportingcutlery.co.uk/lamsfoot-blade-with-gut-hook-and-rosewood-handles

    Estore Voucher

Hi Guys Does anyone have latest estore voucher? Thanks
  19. I like that idea, although the reason I was looking for a locking folder was that I can leave it on my belt and it doesn’t look too intimidating to passers by, several of my permissions have foot paths through and in fact I walk to a couple of them along the road so am in the presence of Joe Public. However, I agree, fixed blades are safer and o have a Boker plus fixed blade that I use frequently and bought a ‘dangler’ so it can be easily removed and stowed in back pack (I bought a rifle carrying back pack for the same reason). I’m trying to travel to close locations ‘lighter’ hence the idea for belt pouch folding lock knife, but another fixed blade wouldn’t be an awful I’d if built with rabbits in mind (Boker is perfect for Deer but a bit big for Bunnies)
  20. Looking into it further I’d probably get 112 as it’s much smaller..
  21. Hi Thoughts on this if you don’t mind? https://www.heinnie.com/moki-blakiston-s-fish-owl-23861
  22. Both painful on parts (although I had ml not GL), I’d go with Q7 of the two, more comfortable less wobbly ride
  23. Hawke vantage at utting reduced to 59 quid
  24. Lovely! Thanks for idea, that’s just the ticket !
