  1. That was my point - when the law is not being enforced you are not subject to it! The police sat outside our local coop as they walked in, opened food and drink and consumed it then walked back out ! It’s a joke and a total **** take for tax payers picking up the tab (and the excrement )
  2. Good, I always remain optimistic that They’re not all the same law breaking types- but I’m still looking. They dug the gate up to the village cricket pitch and rolled in, brought a wave of crime and antisocial behaviour and left after being evicted leaving tree cuttings , piles of excrement and other rubbish. They should be just subject to the law like the rest of us.
  3. I’ve got a Hilux invincible x and it’s spot on, great for the family too- went to the south of france in it last year. Can fill the back with wet dogs / Guns/ fishing tackle / garden waste and then just hose down. It’s a bit of a beast to park for the Mrs though .
  4. This article sums it up for me : https://www.secularism.org.uk/opinion/2012/08/women-can-choose-to-wear-the-burka--but-can-they-choose-not-to
  5. Ah.. the old ‘it’s in the bible’ bit. Well, if and when it leaps from the pages of the Old Testament to the streets of Britain, I’ll be the first to condemn it ?
  6. Boris is right , and as others have said - the vast majority of the public agree. I think as a society we need more cohesion and integration, and the burka works completely against this. It’s not mentioned anywhere in the Koran or Hadiths - it’s a trait of Wahhabism , and I’m sure I don’t need to point out what that is about !
  7. I feel your anguish, but I guess your sons unlucky streak with women / health / the law has rung too many alarm bells- I presume they feel the slightest risk of him getting access to them would not be worth taking ?
  8. I think Tommy will always be blighted by his old associations and those of his immediate peers. But he has some very valid points that as others have said - you’d struggle to disagree with. Perhaps another voice making the same points / asking the same questions may not get such short shrift ? Anne Marie Waters perhaps? either way - both are a reaction to the state and media approach of ‘head in sand’. it’s happening all over the western world too.
  9. Fishing for me, almost exclusively for pike using lures .
  10. I’ve just spent an hour of my insomnia cleaning up my YouTube subscriptions, when I came accross a channel that I’ve not seen for ages- it was strangely enjoyable - ‘GUNVIDDER’ - does any one know what happened to him? He’s not posted for 7 years.... he did some extremely detailed reviews, general shooting stuff .... heres a flavour ;
  11. It works for me definitely , but some folks say it doesn’t for them. The downside is you’ll smell like a WI member.
  12. It’s the blue one I think, it’s got citronella in.. seems to work ok for me ?
  13. Brand new in the packaging, £13 posted, payment via PayPal F&F
  14. Yes it is, pm replied to this morning ? for some reason I’m not getting notifications of replies on here!
  15. Excellent condition hardy Sirrus fly rod, with bag and carry case. £150 Ono collect from NG14
  16. Hi folks, if you’ve got a spare Facebook ‘like’ , my lad would be over the moon if you used it on his picture on the canal & rivers trust angling Facebook page. At 7 he’s a competent little lure angler, he outfished me on Christmas Eve with this perch at 2lb 3oz - I sent the picture into the canal and rivers trust and he won the catch of the month ... they’re now running the junior catch of the year.. voting closes on the 2nd -April.. all you’ve got to do is find the canal and rivers trust angling page and like his picture (the one below) thanks in advance all ? Edit - this is the link! https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1792474907480181&id=624668760927474&set=a.1792346977492974.1073741852.624668760927474&source=49
  17. Cheers, it was mint apart from a split in its dorsal , picture doesn’t quite show how fat it was (did me justice though !)
  18. Three pike landed on a session yesterday a 2lb jack on livebait, 12lb 2 on a lure and this beauty at 25lb 6oz on a large deadbait... not as the lake was still half frozen when I arrived !
  19. Nice to see some fellow lure anglers on here ... I’ve lure fished for many years.. it’s great if you’re struggling for time (amongst other hobbies /kids/wives etc ?). I’ve got a few set ups from ultra light through to heavy jerkbaits. But in the last year I’ve banked most fish on lighter (<25g) plastics, few patterns I’ve done very well on are savage gear cannibal shads and the fat tail minnows. I’ve had a 3lb 6oz perch out on one! And a raft of pike up to 13lb. Fitted with a light jig head they can be fished very slowly, which gets a lot of hits. Tight lines ?
  20. As gun owners we All have to go through the hoops before we can indulge in our interest, because a minuscule minority may pose a risk, I don't see why we can't apply this same logic to dealing with Islamic terrorism. We need to redress the imbalance of minority freedom vs majority safety quickly .
  21. Despicable act of Islamic terrorism (just seen news clip with it being acknowledged before anyone asks) the gloves need to come off with this now. My thoughts with the families .
  22. The discussion about his ashes should be resolved with the flush of a toilet.
