teel9964
I need a o/u for the fields and have been recommneded these 2 for my price range (app. £500). But i want to get your opinion on which one. I need a multi choke and something that is half decent lookign and build quality. I hear the browning medalist is the same price range but not as good a gun that the other two. What you think? Any other suggestiosn apart from these 2 in this price range? arjimlad
I had a Lanber for 10 years, it was solid and never let me down. The latest ones are prettier. I'd have another one. Never needed to look at Bettinsolis !
robmiller
Looked at both when wanting a new gun. My dad has had a lanber for twenty plus years and its still as solid and nice as the day he bought it. 250 then was a canny chunk i suppose! Bettinsoli, look good and ams ure some people swear by them on here, but personally think they are over blinged and look a bit cheap

clutey
Bought a new Lanber about 2 yrs back, had trouble with it from the start. It was replaced under the guarantee and soon as the the new one arrived I got rid right away. A friend got a Bettinsoli at the same time, a much superior gun better finished and it handles very well. Out of the two it has to be Bettinsoli. PS. For £500 or there abouts you should be able to pick up a good used Miroku, first choice would be a Beretta, can't see you getting a decent one for that price though. Nial
I don't think there's any type of Lanber you need to 'stay away from' Mine's an old nail but is still going strong. Nial.
Imperfection
Cant fault my Lanber. It might not be the prettiest of guns, but its reliable and fits me perfectly.
lowlander
someone i shoot with has a lanber, its solidly built and has never let him down, i would go for the lanber Edited November 20, 2009 by lowlander
stokie
Lanber ever time . I have had 2 now . Neither have ever let me down . I have probably put about 3000 shots throu my present gun and have never had a misfire or any other trouble . At that price if I scratch it in the field it aint gonna break my heart . If it were an expensive gun then id be gutted The lanber has a 5 year warranty . Im told the bettensoli warranty is for the original purchaser only and is not transferable upon sale

robbsy
Would have to be a lanber for me, i've had one now for a number of years and it's had a lot of use and never failed yet and personally i think the bettinsoli look a bit to fancy for my liking.
