RogerH
Sorry to be a pain guys, but I am back to shooting after a long lay off and would like recommendations for some refresher lessons/coaching at a ground within 50 miles of where I live - which is West Yorks/Derbyshire border near Holmfirth. Shame Holmfirth Shooting school is now closed thanks to the comers-in etc. I know of the Boar at Glossop but not seen any feedback. Anyone point me in the right direction? Cheers Roger

beretta
what you after was a shame about holmfirth as it was my local till i moved. people bought the house at the entrance to the ground for those that do not know and promptly complained and eventually shut it. tossers been running 30 years previous to that. Gordon R
Beretta - totaly agree. I knew Brian and John Hinchcliffe fairly well over nearly 30 years. Top people. The Boar is a decent ground, with good targets. Access is either a hard walk up a steep hill or 4 x 4. Don't know about tuition though. RogerH
Hi Beretta, A few coaching sessions to get my basics back on track and perhaps also some help with gun fit. I am six-four so might need an extension etc. If you can help that would be great. Cheers Roger

RogerH
Going to give it a go with Beretta... Thanks for all the advice everyone. Like the look of The Grouse as well - might try it out for practice in in the New Year. Any other recommendations still welcome!! Roger If it's for a lesson, I would take advice from Beretta. The Grouse might be an interesting ground for a round of clays, but might not be ideal for coaching He'll know the ideal locations for a coaching session
Gordon R
I would avoid the Grouse - full stop. Very dodgy cages - likely to damage your gun.
