Chard
I went to Nuthampstead for the Bucks UT county champs. Shot a 91 to keep the trophy for another year, thought the wife was going to be a challenge as we were level after 50 targets but stuck a 25 straight in to keep her in her place (behind me) Great shooting, both of you
Bigweed
98/100 on Skeet today. Dropped 2 on the first round so another 75 straight and 1st equal in B class, picking up £39. Top 4 in each class then took part in a shoot off for £200 in each class (pairs from stations 3, 4 and 5 )- also won that so not a bad day. £239. Still waiting to see results of yesterdays registered esp at Northall - may pick something up for my 79 in B class there too. A good weekend for me I think
Son Of Potter
Cracking shoot at NOECTC today, i came second in A class with 87, some tricky targets today, i came unstuck on stand 9!! dropped 4 there, which cost me!!! Mr Potter
Well shot to all who were out today, Rufforth, NoE whatever it's called made it hard for it's self never mind the shooters. Quite unusual setup, most of the 12 stands had the two birds firstly as singles(one of both) with FUG then as either report or simo pairs. This is OK except it takes longer to shoot and consequently there where big queues on most stands. We started shooting at about 11ish and finished 4.5 hours later!! So with this combination of 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 birds per stand they managed to cock up the numbers and it was actually a 101 bird shoot so, if like most, you add up the zeros on your card and subtract from 100 you will be one target out, you need to subtract from 101. Anyhow, Chard was correct I had a bit of a mare (getting all too common) and finished on a 75 :( . The boy aka Son of Potter fared a lot better finished on an 87 and got 2nd in A class, beaten by our shooting mate Mark W who shot an 88. Mark stayed to the end and picked up the winnings and it was gone well past 6 when he got home. Funny day for me, shot some stands very badly and others well, not much in the middle i.e. not 1 or 2 away but 3's & 4's away. I just need to give myself a stern talking to Mr Potter PS If anyone tells you you can't get a quart into (or out of) a pint pot has obviously never seen Chard, Anni, Timps & NickyT pour out of a small silver hatchback. The latter three all kissed the ground when they straightened out and were asking round the locals for a train timetable

Son Of Potter
Good shooting SoP You didn't happen to see what won B Class did you? No sorry Chard, When we left they were still putting all the scores on the board!!
magman
Speaking of Caerwys, how was it today Rob? Better laid out or still worrying Yes it seemed to have been sorted Did you pick my money up from Spennymoor, Trotsky? I bet you didn't you selfish heathen ******* student. Well shot the Magmen, especially Jaybird, into the 70's now No more of that 60-something **** :( Thanks thought you were not going there again nicely shot jay beter result than your old man then :o when you 2 getting back on some proper targets british in a couple of weeks, be daft not to Might do , just enjoying the local shoots at the moment Good shoot at NOECTC, quite tricky Scores on the doors from our mob : Chard - 77 Joint 1st in B Class when we left, but plenty more scores to come in 100milesaway - 74 Nicely done with the new gun, Auntie Anni - 65 Steady Eddie NickyT - 65 Steady Eddie mark 2 Timps - 65 Steady Eddie mark 3 Some very tricky birds there today, not an easy one at all, but somebody had managed a 92 Great shooting that, don't know how they do it. Not sure how the Potters got on, they hadn't finished when we left. It looked like Mr Potter was having a bit of a mare, but Son of Potter was on fire, so a good score coming from him I think Tidy shooting lads and lasses Well shot Magmen Was expecting to see you both at one of these selection shoots this month Couldn't see the point Nick even if one of us made the selection we wouldn't take the offer Well done Mr p and Son of p
MC
I went to the Colchester Garrison yesterday, I finished on 36/50 which I wasn't to unhappy about. It was a half sensible shoot for a change but they do like their rangey stuff, and then you get a bouncing rabbit 10 feet from the cage. All that said I did enjoy it and will go back there again soon. There were several PWer's there who seem to be keeping quiet about their score. Catamong
I went to Nuthampstead for the Bucks UT county champs. Shot a 91 to keep the trophy for another year, thought the wife was going to be a challenge as we were level after 50 targets but stuck a 25 straight in to keep her in her place (behind me) Well shot Phil, (and Mary too), even if it was only a tarp shoot. I did the Berks FITASC Champs at 4 Counties, (I expected to see "Her Ladyship" there but she was obviously out after the Whirlies ), it was a real toughie, won on an 88, I did a 20, 21, 18, 23 to finish on an 82. There was a long incomer on one peg which was battling against the wind, I reckon it was 70 - 80 yards away at it's closest point, nobody on my squad hit it, nor anybody on the squad before, or after us, apart from that, it was a good layout, tough but fair. I heard that they're going to change the rules in FITASC to take away full use of gun on the singles, i.e. one shot only, that's gonna make it soooooooooo much harder..!! Cat. shaun4860
Not very good today , 26 ex 40 then a 25 ex 40 at braidwoods sporting clays.I always seem to ruin my card on 1 or 2 stands. Our club had a daytrip up there last week.... we shot 100 at various stands... some tricky targets up there.... shaun

Well shot Cat, nice to see you're still chipping a few Full use of gun ****s me up, I always miss when I've got full use of gun. If you tell me I can only have one shot, I'll hit it, but if I know I've got two, I miss. I think I take the first shot earlier than I'm comfortable with and then when I miss, I'm too slow on the second, taking it later than I'm comfortable with   A lot of that going on at NOECTC yesterday Edited August 16, 2010 by Chard

Chard, Sounds like you're destined to be a tarpie then There's the ultimate excitement of single barrel DTL or the Olympic discipline of Double Trap, two clays and two barrels. It is made for Sporting shooters, Faulds got a Gold medal and MBE, and Digweed set a world record a few years ago. Go on you know it makes sense, no more standing about in muddy fields in the rain  when you could be shooting under cover away from the wind and rain.
