Who will you be voting for?

After the enourmous f'up that Labour have caused this country in the last ten years I do not understand how anyone could vote for them this time round.

If they'd appreciated that they hadn't got rid of the cycle of boom and bust and saved a bit of cash in the good times instead of squandering billions on red tape and bureaucrats then perhaps we wouldn't be in the mess we are?

Voting for them because 'it's what my family have always done' or because of class is ridiculous and shows a lack of any brain power and is almost as bad as not voting at all, it's your chance to be involved in who runs our country why would you throw it away? :o

Nothing to do with jelously, libs, but everything do to with un-elected peers dictating the law.

SF

Un-elected peers weren't able to dictate anything, only approve legislation from

the commons.

Up to now no-one's been able to lean on them as they weren't elected and mostly

were independantly wealthy.

Or that was the idea. Labour have messed about with the system a _lot_ but I

don't see any big improvement.

Nial.

you must be really confident about the state of the country and how its being run to not vote against labour

If 30% of the labour voters vote for BNP and UKIP, it will be a job well done. I don't want Labour, Conservative and Liberal Democrats to get in. I think they are all corrupt.

if either of them got in we would really be up for a disaster neither could run the country so really voting for them is pretty pointless

Exactly. Why vote Labour/Conservative just because my dad did, I would say is for the shallow!

We need parties like BNP/UKIP to have more clout, it would keep the political classes in check.

An edited version of the original.

Below is the full, unedited version of Malik's speech. Check out from 5.45 in particular.

No doubt the edited video was done by some BNP supporting 'type' to stir things up a bit.

Indeed, be careful who you vote for....................................

Im inclined to agree with you al4x i would abstain before either of them got my vote and thats saying something and as for 30% of labour voters voting bnp or ukip that is highly unlikely. Im not saying the idea of british jobs for british people and so on isn't appealing of course it is but their other policies leave much to be desired if you ask me. On our farm we employ bulgarians and when we processed used to employ Iraqis poles slovakians and all other eastern europeans because they turned up day after day unlike british agency workers leaving the EU would nock this source of hard working labour out and we would be stuck.

You talk of 'lefties,' yet have the Hammer & Sickle as a picture next to your name!

I do wonder.....

Why wonder.

I believe in a more equal society nothing wrong with that. It's not communism that is wrong as the fundamentals of communism are sound. It goes wrong when the politician gets involved. It's not the system thats wrong it's the people who run the system that are wrong...

I for one would also be a problem, just like any politician worth his salt. I have been fairly lucky to have a comfortable childhood, and thankfully we have never gone short. I am very thankful to both of my parents for working hard, and putting in the hours so I can hopefully come out of university mostly debt-free. And if you think for one miniute that either of them are 'fat-cats' that sit behind a desk fiddling on facebook all day, then you are very much mistaken. You would be suprised at the stress a reasonably well paid job in IT comes with!

Now if someone decided that we had too much, and that because of this we should have our savings raided, and anything we do earn over minimum wage taxed so heavily that it wasn't worth earning, I for one would object strongly. I know full well it isn't fair that we can afford to do the odd shop in M&S, or go on a nice holiday occasionally, whilst there are some familes who can only just get through the week. Again thankfully I don't know how these people feel, and hopefully I will never have to. But that is the way it is, always has been and always will be. There is a divide!

The world is a very unfair place, some people are more intellegent, and dare I say it, luckier than others and go on to work their way up the job ladder to earn a fair wage so their family can live in a half-decent area with a comfortable German car. If you take away these goals from everyone, forcing them to live as equals, I recon things would go tits- up fairly quickly.

Communism is a great idea for people who struggle, but this country has one of the best welfare-sates in the world, just think, in the USA some families are going to have to decide between putting food on the table and getting medical treatment when needed. We have an amazing national health service, it is awfully managed and currently a money pit but its still there to help thoese who don't have a health-care plan recieve first rate treatment as and when needed! When out of work, through ill health or just as a matter of course whilst looking for a new job, there is a fund to draw from to insure that a family won't go hungry, something the majority of the world could only dream of.

I feel that our government currently spend far to much money, which isn't theirs incidently, on the welfare state. Having been to a job center+ more than once whilst looking for post16 courses, I do feel that a lot of people found there have no intention of finding work, but every intention of leeching from the public purse. Obviously the majority are genuine job seeking punters who are spending every waking hour trying to get back to work.

I do understand your point, an equal society would be wonderful, but sadly its never going to happen, and more time spent trying to make it so is more time wasted. Effort would be better spent trying to improve the system we already have, as I bet my life its the one we are going to have for a long time to come.

Couldn't agree with you any more. I am like you comfortable upbringing from middle class (farming) family. If i knew that i would have to work my **** off and have nothing more to show for it than anyone else i tell you know i wouldn't bother it would be like cuba with no one having any motivation as the idea of a 'fair' society does not motivate me to work my socks off to get ****** all in return and i think most people would agree with this. But then again maybe as i have had a very comfortable life i have no intention of loosing it.
