HDAV
I work part-time for a funeral director and one thing I've decided on is that next time around I am going to be a funeral director. You can't lose, especially at this time of the year with the cold weather.I'd like a pound a week less than my boss takes home! Another good number is to be a vet, people will spend money on their animals before they spend it on themselves. Alot less work in being an undertaker than a VET.... VicW
Alot less work in being an undertaker than a VET.... I'll remember that next time I get called out at 3am to collect broken bodies from a traffic accident or collect some poor sod who has hung himself and has still got the rope round his neck. The shooting suicides aren't a pretty sight either. On the other hand there's the poor old lady you collect from the nursing home who is laying in her own p**s and **** because nobody has cleaned her up.There is one consolation, the patients don't bite! VicW
A passenger in a taxi leaned over to ask the driver a question and gently tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention. The driver screamed, lost control of the cab, nearly hit a bus, drove up over the curb and stopped just inches from a large plate glass window. For a few moments everything was silent in the cab. Then, the still shaking driver said, 'Are you OK? I'm so sorry, but you scared the daylights out of me.' The badly shaken passenger apologized to the driver and said he didn't realise that a mere tap on the shoulder would startle the driver so badly. The driver replied, 'No, no, I'm the one who is sorry, it's entirely my fault today is my very first day driving a cab . . . . . . . . .. ... I've been driving a hearse for the past 25 years'. Vic.
