THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
We all know to find the best pellet for hunting. Hole on hole & use that one. I'd rather use a loose clover leaf one that works when It hits. How do you choose your's ? What a shop wants to sell you, what your mate recomends or do you find out for yourself ? My Falcon uses AA Field in 5.51 or Bisley Magnum exclusively now, as they work..but mine runs around 26ft lb!!
SSS
I always used to use domed pellets, accupells to be precise. Nice and hard hitting and very accurate
Alanl50
Hi I regularly use my BSA Super10 for rabbits on a bowling green, AirArms Diablo Field all the way, they are a bit fragile but suit my gun unfortunately not the rabbits as my freezer tells all Alan

UKPoacher
Firstly the pellet needs to be accurate in your gun. Secondly it needs to be designed not to over penetrate. JSB Exact, AA Field, Accupels are all worth a look. Avoid Logun Pentetrators, Defiants and any non-lead pellets as they go through quarry often without killing it. Work a treat for me. As other said, each gun varies, so you need to get what works for you. Id buy a sampler pack if possible and try all to see which are best. George1990
Logun penetrators are lead, but can be found in non lead form. I found them to be fairly good, but stick to AA field.
simmo1
sorry guys but it has to be Logun penetrators for me and the bsa ultra .177 does the job every time from rabbits to rats no worrys

I always use JSB exact (.177 soft lead, domed) and almost every shot passes tru the (pigeon) body at lets say.. 18 yards. 90% of the time they die before hitting the ground, or die minutes after. THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
My choice is flats for short range then AAFields / JSB's & ocasionaly Bizmags. In my youth I believed the shop keeper when he said pointed. Made sense back then. I recently saw a written test with photos that showed round balls to be the best for penetration in ballistic gel. Not the full story !!!

Fact - Do not work for Any Company - Do offer Fellow Shooters Good Deals on Pax Pellets - Op's sorry they are made in England and Shooters prefer imported pellets BOB/R Yet in your post today you again used the 'We' word referring to these pellets. MPT1
As some of you recall I advocated the Dynamic Pellets in an earlier thread. I still use them, but have found recently using them at close range on pigeons they do pass through and richocet of the metal backstop. The pigeons however still die. THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
But then again... who cares :o Those that's bothered. Why do we choose shotty cart's because the're different to match different shooting. Same as why we choose different bullets, because there different & want to match different shooting methods. So if you don't care you just walk into a shop, ask for a tin of whatever pellets & when asked a question you just reply not bovvered. So you don't care & shoot with whatever peelet. Bet you'r not bovvered by your scope, couldn't care less about the rifle either. Can't be ***** to read posts 'cos you ain't bovvered & thinks who cares anyway. The good news is no one would call you an anorak. Pehaps your right though ? Pehaps I've got this shooting thing all wrong. Don't give a $ hit about what I use or what I buy. Thanks for the comment but no thanks, I'll leave it to the "whatever" guys of this world.
UKPoacher
I think he means "Who cares" about Clubshot popping up on all forums flogging his pellets one minute and the next recommending them to others puporting to be independent from the company. I suppose nobody cares unless you are the one shelling out a small fortune for pellets that rarely get recommended other than by those who sell them and probably won't work in your gun. Billy.
I don't agree with your 'hole on hole' reasoning for a good hunting pellet. You need something that's both accurate AND hard hitting.

JSB Exacts and AA Fields are accurate in all the guns I've tried them in and give a good thump when they hit the target.
