shotgun application

A family friend did mine. Its funny how it states police or police staff can't sign....You would have thought they could trust their own people considering they do the licensing!!

Potential conflict of interest (especially if you turn out to be a nut job)

JP signed mine.... (don't know him professionally tho) was fine and my missus has signed a few as well

I'm in the RNLI as a lifeboat crewman so I just got our station Doctor to sign :-)

Thats awesome i used to live with a guy on the St Davids crew (are you still allowed to use maroons?)

He is licenced and vetted by the police and local council and seams an "up standing member of the community" to me. Plus i've know him personally for 15 years through my pub not from going in there

I just used a friend who is a registered nurse. Funnily enough, on SGC application forms in Lincolnshire there is no countersignatory to give reference for you, just someone to sign that the photo is of you, like on a passport form

I think they changed this after the dunblane shootings. The police dont want any accountability, so you cant countersign if your in the police, but can once you retire.

World gone mad.....
