Markio
First of all, i can't afford another gun just yet but i've got a hankering for another pump action, i don't need it and i don't know why i want it but i do. I want a classic looking 60's type with wood stock/fore end, you know the 'bee hive' looking fore end, must have a rib too. So in the grand scheme of fantasy (until the other half gets a job), what would you suggest? Pictures too if you have them, gun pron ahoy.... Floating Chamber
Ithaca Model 37 or a Mossberg 500A. (If not, a Remington Wingmaster!)
Ozzy Fudd
my votes are the mossberg 500a or 600at (basically same gun only the 600at is called a newhaven mossberg). they have a rib, dual bead (red fibre optic front bead) and are multi choke, i have one of each :o
throdgrain
In my humble opinion (and that of 10 million other users), the Remington 870 Wingmaster, of 1970s to 1980s vintage, is the best pump action, if not the best all round shotgun you can buy :o

casts_by_fly
but if you want the beehive front end, it has to be an older Ithaca. get a 16 ga if you're really lusting for something special. Thanks Rick
berettaman
Wot they like for a second shot in a pigeon hide,i know my semi auto climbs a little but these you are working the cocking mechanism and writhing all over or is that just my perception

Paddy Galore!
a friend of mine was selling his old savage not so long back, didn't want much gold for it either about £70 from what i remember, classic trench gun with rib and all steel action. 2 3/4 chamber fixed choke. mossy835
i had a remmy wingmaster pump, they are good guns,i find when in the hide and you pump for a second shot or third, they are fine it dont put you off.

Being able to break the gun when sharing ahide and also the weight factor when on 'walk about' to name 2 reasons. supper novva ! smelli benelli style ! Nice enough guns but not quite what i'm after. I think the remmi wingmaster really has it, minus that beehive forend but for everything else about it it can be forgiven. Lovely guns. Hmmmm, one for the ever growing shopping list i think! Cheers all chaps!!
