Hi all,

I'm brand new to the forum posting from the beautiful North Wales countryside.

I've been browsing for a while and I really like what I see, it's very professional especially when compared with an other site that I won't mention :/

I don't shoot Pigeons or live game (I have in the past) any more but I hope you won't hold this against me

I just love shooting skeet, sporting and a little ABT and have to travel 170 miles (round trip) to get to my nearest 'proper' shooting ground.

Regards,

Ken.

Cheers Richie and Mitch

Never heard of Carwys Gun Club, but I've been a few times to Sealand and Llandegla.

What I remember most about Llandegla is the COLD wind :/

I've shot a 3 DTL qualifiers there in the last couple of years.

I'll check out the Caerwys website to see if it's worth a visit

Thanks SSS, DAZ2381, PTS50, Magman, Bullet Boy, and Tom V.. :cry1::lol:

Claysporting never gave me a welcome like this :good:

MitchF, after looking at the Caerwys website I'm sure I've been there before, to a charity shoot many years ago.

It was set in a quarry with the traps set around the rim with a fantastic variation in birds.

It just has to be the same place as I can't imagine that area having two quarry shoots. :good:

That's the place Ken.

Come along one Sunday, you don't have to join, you can shoot as a guest for the first 3 visits.

They have 6 or 7 possible sporting layouts, usually shoot 5 am, lunch and a bit of a move around, then a new 5 in the afternoon, all pairs.

Relaxed, testing and fun.

You can get food and drinks on site.

If the club is having a Skeet or DTL they hold the event at Llandegla. They have an occasional 50 Bird aswell.

It's well worth a visit.

Cheers :good:
