canthitathing
well between your carthorse and my shirehorse we should do well.... i have only ever shot 1 registered sporting and i got 66 or something.....lol on our day im sure we can pull something out of the bag.... i used to be a class A skeet shooter so if i can get above 65 then i will be a happy bunny.....unless of course they put on targets i cant hit then i will settle for double figures.. shaun (northern shirehorse) just looked this up Points Down The Line C 0.0 0 0 0 0 0 0 English Skeet A 0.0 0 0 0 0 0 0 English Sporting C 0.0 0 0 0 0 0 0 Single Barrel C 0.0 0 0 0 0 0 0 Skeet Doubles B 0.0 0 0 0 0 0 0 thats my record 66 The stuff dreams are made of . Never shot any comp before so really looking forward to this
ME
The shoot was advertised as the TOP TEN scores would be counted from day 1. This took the pressure off any novices and less serious shooters that wanted to come along for fun. I dont think that it would be fair to change the advertised scoring system for this year. There are good shots on both sides. I think that it will be a Southern victory but it will be close.
Cookiemonsterandmerlin.
66 The stuff dreams are made of . Never shot any comp before so really looking forward to this Same as I not holding any hope for my score but if I can shoot little bits of clay flying though the air as well as I shoot pigeons then the northerners are in trouble. I am looking forward to lots of things the drive up the A470 to hodnet shooting clays for the first time in anger last time 20 years ago in a field and of course meeting others and all in a aid of a good cause . Whoever wins think of the good the money will do for familys etc. Kind regards OTH

magman
Top 10 scores could average 79 In the Police Cheshire Shield, which was held at Hodnet in March, PW chaps scored : Son of Potter - 90 Beretta - 89 Anni - 89 Chard - 83 Mr Potter - 83 DSPUK - 82 JKO - 80 NickyT - 79 Magman - 78 after spewing his guts up for half the course and feeling like **** Whoop whoop, get yer pants down boy Then of course, that ******* student Paulos got 94 in the Universities comp at Hodnet and won it All these chaps are shooting on Saturday, with the exception of Nicky, but we've got Timps and others who can whack in a tidy score 'Ang that on yer watch chain Glove's are off for this one chaps Edited May 25, 2010 by magman

Mr Potter
You putting odds together for High Gun? Could be interesting... Catamong or Beretta....hmm.... Not got the past form of the above mentioned but his Mum said she will donate £25 to the charity if her little ray of sunshine aka Son of Potter takes High Gun and his last two outings have been 90+. I would have a small sum on him doing it unless big comp nerves get to him as they did in France last year. Unlike his mother I've got my own psychological incentives going, they are more realistic than promises of donations and involve pain and humiliation, should work I think Mr P

Markio
Hey Nick, I am taking a new 44" Deerhunter vest for the raffle, worth a punt for GOSH Perfect for me, i'll have a punt at that. I wonder if a swap 30 minute session should be held at the end of the day for prizes won that people can't use, e.g. me getting a days clay tuition in the north east blah blah. None of the prizes / prize lots are being numbered. I will arrange them on the prize table/s using laminates for the experience type prizes (like the clay tuition). Therefore, as tickets are drawn, people will come up and choose a prize lot that they actually want. It makes more sense that way. There are also going to be some SECRET WILDCARD PRIZES that were personally selected and wrapped by me. You can select a "known prize" or a WILDCARD PRIZE depending on your attitude to risk and how brave you are ! Tickets will continue to be drawn until all the prizes including the WILDCARDS are gone. EDIT: Remember, if you choose the log burner then you need to be able to get it home somehow !
