MC
Nick, I have a .22 target rifle that anyone is welcome to shoot. Cheers Martin
Snotty
My rifles are over 150 years old but quite safe. If anyone is likely to want to try them I will bring extra lead. The builders dumped the old lead piping in a skip when they fixed up the house over the road so I have plenty. I usually shoot percussion .451 and .577, but I do have a new .60 patched ball longrifle in flint if anyone is that way inclined, (any excuse)

Dunkield
Good man, FYI I have got deer and fox on my 6.5 but in some areas they won't let you do that.
dunganick
6.5 is a lovely round. although its becoming common these days. when my old man got it 4 or 5 years ago, we knew only 1 other person who had one, and he ran chris potter guns, so knew his stuff about rifles. even so, the 6.5 is still a great round. my dad has his cleared for Vermin, Fox and Deer. so it trully is a multi purpose round. although i very much doubt anyone would get a 6.5 cleared for vermin these days Edited January 10, 2006 by dunganick
Dunkield
Agreed Nick, calibres come in and out of fashion all the time, mine is about 3 years old now and when I got that I had to drive miles to gte the one I wanted, round my way it was a case of "why don't you get a .243 remmy like everyone else?" dunganick
yes, my dad got his from potters, but it has a bit of a plank on it because he wasnt able to shop around for a nice piece of wood. unlike the .222 which has a high grade reject. so has a very small repair just in the front of the cheek piece. great round. hopefully i will have my 6.5 in a few years. or maybe something like a 6.5x284, or possibly even a custom round of my own Edited January 10, 2006 by dunganick
dunganick
okay, two points.... firstly i recieved the following peoples deposits today, Snotty, StuartP, BlackThorn, Lamber, Matt secondly, i got through an information pack on the clays.... turns out the lass failed to tell me it was £44 including carts, so the price for 100 is infact £38 this is still pretty steep, but not as bad. so if some people are willing to go for this let me know. but i would require 40% deposit on the £38 each, so i can confirm the booking.
