Snotty
count me in for the clays if there is enough of us After Nick's last bash I don't think I can do sporting clays unless someone volunteers to shout "behind it" every time I shoot
dunganick
very kind of you to offer digger, but its not nessicary, but i appreciate the gesture. theres not alot of chance me out shooting anyone....the way i have been shooting lately :*) sorry stuartP no paypal.....im not that high tech. i might contact the clay grounds and see about setting up an account type system with them. either that or the 40% of £38 could be sent to me and i could send it all to them in one go. its up to everyone, its quite alot of money, and i want to make sure everyone is happy with what is going on. at the moment im guessing there would be about 10-15 of us doing the clays, the groups have to be 4-5's, so i will get one group, then ask for deposits to be sent, then once 4 more people confirm, i will ask for their deposits. Sargeant Bang
Okay, im looking at organising a meeting for some time june/july/august next summer at Bisley The format of the meeting will be this, morning will be spent on the short siberia (or long if enough people are intrested) rifle range (100 and 200 yards) we can have as many ranges as we can book (in advance quite alot) i would suggest we book one lane for every 4 people (i believe its about £40 for a morning) in the afternoon we will move onto the sporting clay layout, the layout is i believe £35 for what is described as 100 sporting, but is much more like 130, you will not find a nicer ground than bisley, they have it all there, 90 yard driven birds, grouse butts, everything. (this takes about an hour and a half to get around) we could possibly book some ranges for the afternoon as well, possibly even 300/400 or 600 yards on centry (although i have no experiance booking these ranges and have no idea of cost) but there are many options. so far the only thing set in stone in my mind is that if this does happen we need to operate a deposit system, every meeting i have tried to organise or anyone else has, have suffered from drop outs, causeing in AP's case, the meeting to be canceled. unfortuantly the only way i see to discourage this and make sure that people only put their names down when actually able to come (not to say showing an intrest isnt allowed) is to ask for a small deposit £5 or £10, what ever people feel is reasonable. i hope there are a fair number of people up for this, it should be a great day out, give some of the non shotgunning or rifle members a chance to come and have a go on others gear. so make a post if your intrested, and lets start to get an idea of dates and numbers. i would hope to book mid january, so we can make sure both the rifle range and the sporting layout arnt booked. on another note, this will almost certainly have to be on a weekday, getting a range at the weekend is difficult as they are booked several years in advance. hopefully some of you further afield members can make this. -------------------------------------------------- on another note, the videos from the west kent meeting have not been forgotten, but ive not got the time at the moment to sort them, or the know how. and on another note i realise i said i would organise a tenterden meeting for some of the more inexperianced shooters to come along to, however i feel that this might be best left for more fair weather, and a time i have a bit more time on my hands. please say if some are intrested in doing this now, as i can organise it if intrest is great enough. Hi Dunganick I'm up for it if it's a Saturday. Let me know where to post my Tenner! I fancy Siberia in the morning and maybe a longer range like Century in the afternoon. The clays sound good but I reckon we may struggle to get on there. Also, as I live in Basingstoke (25 mins away) I can accomodate others if they need it for the Saturday night or even from Friday night as well. dunganick
recieved LB's cash. i will phone bisley tomorrow and see if i still have to pay a deposit on 10 people (although i suspect we will have more like 15 on the clays) if we do, then i think i will ask for the deposit from the people intrested in clay shooting to be sent asap, as i cant confirm our booking untill they have 40% of the total cost. flash
nick when is the deadline for the deposits and me and my dad may be interested in the clays but not quite sure. iwill try and send them off tomorow or monday. flash
dunganick
no real deadline as yet. the biggest danger is if we have too many more people without rifles. hopefully i can get this clay shooting sorted and it wont be such an issue. didnt have time to call them today. i think 40% of £38 is £15.20, can someone check my maths there... if it is, could those intrested in clays send £15.20 too the same address, and any cheques addressed to the same person. i will probably PM all those who have shown an intrest in clays in a moment. i have contacted the people regarding HFT and they are getting back to me, they sad something could deffinatly be sorted out, just a case of how much and other small points.
