We have about 3 large ant nests that have appeared in our lawn, resulting in the grass dying off in big patches.

Anyone got any ideas on the best way to kill them off (bearing in mind our little lad plays out there)

termites? worked on a bus life!

Conductor an all

Asking on here is bound to get you some daft replies, so here is mine.

Get your best hoover out, and stick the nozzle over the hole. Then again, you might want to hang them all. Or better still, catch them, and hand them over to the parents of the greenfly they ate. :hmm:

As a serious reply, what about a liquid ant killer? Funnel in one hole, and mix some ant powder in water. Down the hatch and wait and see. :hmm:

Hiya, I've tried it and it works...Self Raising Flour...sprinkle round where they are, they eat it and take it back to the nest for their mates to eat ...it swells up inside them, and does them in...:hmm::) Got that from a mate in the pest control game... MUCH cheaper than all those Ant powders.... :hmm:
