Well told you all a couple of weeks ago that I called a fox in beside me and only had the .22lr (which I don't think I am allowed to shoot fox with), so last night myself and Glensman went back at the same time (9pm). I started calling and fox appeared about from the same place as the last time about 200 yards away; it started coming very quickly and before I knew it had closed to within about 45 yards. I then delivered the last rites (with Glensman .22WMR). This was a really important fox to get as it is about half a mile from my syndicate. I forgot the camera so got a pic later when it was dark.

I decided to take the tail off him saying he was my first fox with a rifle and also I might take the tail off every fox I shoot this season.

Looks like a rather small fox compared to that boot lol. Not really into foxes so don't know much about them. Any foxes I've seen are bigger than that. Still, one less to worry about. Good shooting ollie mate

It was one of this years foxes so it wasn't fully grown; however, the pic doesn't do it justice it was 3/4 grown.

got shot ollie :) was it 1 of this years cubs

Yes mate one of this years, it was very fine and the teeth were in perfect condition.

well done . how will you treat the fox tail???

I cut the skin at the base of the tail with a knife and pulled it off using 2 sticks. The tail is currently steeping in a mixture using water, borax, alum, table salt and a safety pickle. I stir the mixture at least twice a day.
