ME
I havent long had a 2006 low miler FSH Nissan Terrano commercial. This one is a definate "keeper" - for a while anyway. It is a nice truck and goes like poo off a shovel. Try getting your Discos or Defenders up to 110mph.. I am preparing it for the game season and winter and looking to out the road tyres for something a little better for fields etc. I would say that I am looking for a 60/40 road/off road tyre. I dont want proper road tyres but I dont want ANSA turbo aggressive treads - if you get my drift. The Nissan has an unusual 235 65 17 tyre size which seems to be limiting my choices. Any suggestions to a good all round tyre in this size or one that would fit ? Not all tyre companies make this size so just recommending and posting random brands isnt going to help me here. dodeer
BFG A/T's. Do around 40K a year on them over all terrains and find them superb. A set last me about 18 months. I pay £500 for a set of 4.
Dempy
I agree, i think for an allrounder you cant beat the BFG a/t, if you want to save a bit of cash, the General Grabber at2 is not a bad second. but BFG's o on for ever, they take a lot of wearing out lol
dankidd
It is a nice truck and goes like poo off a shovel. Try getting your Discos or Defenders up to 110mph.. I think id have a lump in my seat if I was doing 110mph in a Terrano!
Zapp
It looks as though they dont do General AT2s in that size, which is a shame as they are tyres I swear by. I only had a cursory search mind you. If you can get them to fit they get my vote. If not then spend a bit more and go for BFGs.
al4x
modify the tyre size and get yourself some 16" rims, from experience my 235/70/16's are a common size for landrovers I think so you get a lot more choice, ebay is usually good if you have a while to look or camskill if you're impatient and want new ones. BFG At's are ideal but expensive as said second choice for a half decent tyre is the AT2
J@mes
^^ what he said - try getting a 16" rim to widen the choice of tyres by a great deal.

Cheers ME Try getting your Navar clutch to last longer than 80K Anyway, enough banter about overpowered rice burners, try the INSA TURBO "RANGER", it's an AT so not aggressive, good road manners, not noisy and they'll only cost you £300 or less. Got them on my sub 110mph Disco, they're good off road.
Gobfish
I run Pirelli Scorpion ST's on mine. Not that agressive a pattern but they get me out of the mud n muck often enough
norfolk boy
i have run continetal conticroscontact AT's before and performed really well on road and in the mud (they do them in your size) would recomend them these guys that sell them http://www.4site4x4.co.uk/4x4-tyre-search-results.aspx really helpful and know their stuff if you gove them a call. if all else fails just change the size of tyre on the same rim you could go a little larger without any issues and you may get more choice. tom

norfolk boy
255's are only 20mm wider than 235's you can easily go up that, went up 30mm on my trooper with no issues. tom
