poontang
Wow, that's an ugly looking gun. Personally I wouldn't touch it, though I'm sure some will love it. I'd definately be looking for something secondhand from a more established manufacturer. Do you need a 3" chamber? What are you planning on using it for? J@mes
As much as I love my Escort semi, there's no way I'd pay £550 for that monstrosity. another £100 and you are in to Beretta 686 territory. Tbh I think they have tried to copy the Browning Cynergy look, but its come out a bit like when Tesco try to copy Nike Air Max trainers. Paddy Galore!
that looks like the action from a Huglu, built like a tank, and won't hold any value simply because it's ugly, if you don't mind the looks then fill ya boots chap. wisecobandit
get a nice lanber in that price bracket, or put a£100 or so to it and get a beretta lee That was what i was thinking aswell. A good rugged gun that will hold a half reasonable value on resale especially if you pnly buy a s/h one you probably wont lose much. Buy a new escort o/u it wont be worth anything like a lanber. BlaserF3
It looks a bit like a Cynergy to me, but to be honest save up a while longer and buy something better.
Hucky
I have one of 'those monstrosities' in wood, and I quite like it. Sure it isn't as nice as a Silver Pigeon, but in its price bracket it fitted me best, and as a first gun I didn't want to overspend not knowing quite what I wanted. Mines in wood, and with a good coat of walnut oil its come up half decent. All I do is infrequent clays at farm type events, so although I am sure others look down on it, as far as I am concerned it shoots just fine, and even if it drops £400 in value over its 3 year warranty, so what, I can go and buy something else then. Finish is a bit rough compared to 'better' manufacturers, but it takes 2 carts and goes 'bang' so if it suits you and your pocket, why not ? I thought the pointer was a much less appealing gun, so each to their own I guess. If I had more cash a Beretta would have been my prefereance as the finish is nicer, but as a first gun I am happy with the Hatsan Escort o/u in wood. dk6052
I have put around 1000 clay cartridges and 25 magnum cartridges and not had any problems. Saying that, I do find the adjustable comb works itself back down after a while and I can't figure out how to remove the ejectors for cleaning. On the whole, worth the money I paid for it. HDAV
Wow £550 for the synthetic hatsan new.... that's like Medallist money, still 1/3 of the price of a Cynergy composite but 1/3 the gun?
goldylfc
i was goint to get one of those hatsans but my local places took so long to get one in i bought a cynergy black ice,yes i did pay alot more for it but i liked it too much. however i am told the o/u hatsan are nowhere near as bad as the semi autos that are infamous. they are what they are a budget gun that most people start shooting with, luckily my budget allowed me to get the browning but had there been a hatsan in stock within a couple of hundred miles i probably would have one now. snobby shooters can get stuffed,a gun aslong as it shoots and goes bang is a gun like any other, princibaly they are all same.at the end of the day its down to personal choice and budget though isnt it? I know but still, it seems Hatsan are the new Baikal, coincidently the cynergy black ice is starting to tempt me....
