Pykie
Just out of interest, how many members on here have had a left and right at woodcock? Or shot an unusual left and right?
scolopax
missed my only chance at woodcock, not the best of chances and possibily not even a strict L&R but I missed all the same. had left and rights at most avian quarry species, most unusual was I guess a couple of goldeneye. Had a few triples (with a double barrel) at wildfowl. never had a left and right at ground game though, never done the double on rabbits or hares. Cheers
richg
Unusual left and right. Pheasant and Pike. I was standing on the side of a big ditch and shot a hen pheasant coming at me, it hit the bank side and rolled into the water beside me, looking down i saw a pike in the water, i shot it with my second barrel. I put my gun down and collected them both, coming up the bank with a pheasant in one hand and the pike in the other. Richard.
woodcock1
The most memorable left and right I've had was at walked up snipe with a .410 side by side. I was walking down wind and they rose and flew back past me which I suppose helped a bit. I've had a l+R at woodcock 3 years in a row now. Got the badge the 1st time but haven't bothered since. I rise hundreds of woodcock each year and get plenty of chances.

ollie
I have had 2 l&r at woodcock, although the last one was about 4 years ago. I have had other doubles and trebles on pigeon, mallard, grey crow, rooks, jackdaws, magpies etc.
RossEM
L&R on teal with my 20 bore, that was pretty good. A couple on pheasants, and plenty on pigeons & rabbits. Still chasing that L&R on woodcock though
