Guest georgehare
i have decided i think im going to get rid of my parker hale semi auto and buy another. Have been looking at other semis and like my friends Browning silver. I like it because you can load it from the bottom and dont have to open the door to put the first cartridge in. I am looking to buy a multi-choke, with 3inch chambers and steel + magnum proofed barrels. What do you lot think would be the best buy considering i dont have a very big budget as im young
mossy835
unless you are going to do wild fowling why do you want a 3inch just added weight.
dunganick
why not its a useful feature you know that what ever cart someone gives you (unless 3.5) it wont damage you or the gun means if you want to you can fire alot of lead (foxing etc...) Frank
I would suggest one of the many Beretta semi-autos that are available which is 3 inch proofed ect, would fit your needs nicely.
dunganick
as frank says 301 302 303 304 390 391 all very fine guns, all work flawlessly but expect to pay a bit more than you would for one of the cheaper makes. henry d
"Buy cheap - Buy twice" why not save a little longer? Then get the best, which according to this lot on here is either the beretta`s or benelli`s.
Axe
Im certainly no expert on this but my Beretta AL-391 Urika is a gem. I got it secondhand for a very good price (thanks again Enzo) and it hasnt let me down at all. Its light and reliable, certainly puts a smile on my face. Load it up and pull the trigger bang bang bang as quick as you can say it. It certainly meets your requirements.

longshoreman
hi i have shot a berreta 391 urika sinse they came out .ive shot virtualy every thing through it and with it .its reliable ,needs little maintainance and faultless in all extreems of weather and abuse from mud and salt on the marsh to dust and grit on a summer stuble.the mag lock is an essencial on an auto ,i know there expensive but worth every penny.the best budget auto i have seen used on a regular bassis is the baikel and will also stand up to lots of abuse.but it dosn,t handle or shoot as sweetly as the beretta and for an old **** like me its lite as well.what ever you choose enjoy youre shooting and be safe. Sargeant Bang
I want the 3 inch chambers for geese, foxes and something i cant mention lol.... My mate has a beretta extrema which is nice and light but i think it would be too expensive ? Does anyone know the sorta price you'd pay for one secondhand ? Also what about the other berettas ? My dad got a Hatsan Escort a few weeks ago but alot of people have said bad things about them.... anyone got anything good to say about them ? Thanks GH I just bought a new Escort yesterday for £300 (black synthetic) 3" and 28" barrel. Can't comment yet as I only put a box of shells through it so far, but very nice at the moment. I tried it using 25 x 28g No.8's and it cycled like lightening so my 32g pigeon shells should be at least as good. I've heard some good things about them so thought I'd give one a go. I bought it at Minsterley and they also come with a 3 yr guarantee, so I feel fairly secure about it... we'll see I guess. What I can say right here though is that they're very light, so nice for lugging about in the field. Drawback though.... no swivels for a sling.... ******

Zapp
As remmy1100 said, the Franchi is a great gun. Having said this, I have just had to return mine to to continuing feed problems, but everyone I have spoken to has been amazed that I have had any probs. Mine must have just been a rogue gun. Will let you know about the service I receive on the warranty. Pete
