Blunderbuss
After advice in this thread, much searching and dilly dallying, I eventually found one for well under my budget, time will tell if this was a wise move! A tidy black 1990 90 200 TDI which I picked up today. Solid bulkhead and chassis and drives superbly. There are few niggles to fix, but all in all it seems OK and I'm well chuffed. It looks awesome - these pics are off the Autotrader advert, it looks much, much better in the flesh. The wheels have now been painted black and look much better. I shall post some better pics when I get chance. I'm sure there's a world of hurt and expense ahead of me, but I'm grinning like a Cheshire cat looking at it on my drive right now! OTH Fraid mine falls squarely into the play thing category. I don't think it makes me a bad person! njc110381
Nice looking truck! I think we've just found ourselves the beaters wagon for this year? Does it have seat bases for the arches in the back? Being a G plate is that a transplanted 200tdi or was it one of the first? I thought the Tdi came out on H plate? Either way it's still nice. I miss my 90 hard top!
Blunderbuss
Yep the TDI is a transplant, no seat bases in the back yet, but that's something I might sort. Edited November 26, 2010 by Blunderbuss
njc110381
Should be easy enough to source some or even make them with a bit of vinyl and a staple gun. Those arches are pretty hard on the **** cheeks otherwise!

jmooney
Very nice! Best of luck with it. I envy you fellows. If I want one of them over here in the US it won't be a diesel and I'd have to pay about 19,000 quid for it.
activeviii
looks good Dave but i thought you wanted a 4x4 or is it just to tie you over until one comes up. oh well. put a strap in the back as i have a double hitch point so i will pull you off the wet grass at the same time as Neil. :yp:
