bruno22rf
Keep an eye out for an Air Arms TX200-try before you buy cos they are quite heavy but are capable of competing with most standard springers on the market today. If you are lucky you might pick up an early FALCON PCP with a pump included-well worth waiting for one to come along and quite often found in Guntrader or Gunstar.£300 spent wisely could buy you a good gun but be carefull-you can allways ask on this forum for advice.Dont be afraid to buy from a dealer far away- if you try a gun locally but find one cheaper miles away-you are covered by the distance selling law which states that you can return an item for a full refund if, for any reason, you change your mind-ring consumer direct to clarify if you are unsure.Try as many guns as you can before taking the plunge-my last word of advice would be that you cant go far wrong with anything made by Air Arms. Albion
I'd say the same for Weihrauch. They aren't always the prettiest, and some are heavy, but are well built and accurate.
jacksdad
I bought a HW99S for my return to shooting, excellent light and accurate full power springer and only £200 on the internet, I've now added an AA S300 and just love it as well, so must agree, Weihrauch or Air Arms for me
tsg
i think i saw an s200 for £210 posted. BARGAIN. buy a pump and you are sorted. they are nice little guns and you can upgrade it in time: multishot mag, regulator...

HoTsHoT-10
S200 is a great little gun and so is the tx200.
HDAV
For FT/HFT for £300 TX200 all the way IMO
bullet boy
Get a secondhand Air Arms S400 for HFT/Hunting!This particular rifle is a very popular PCP on the HFT circuit, plus it will do a superb job out Hunting too. As mentioned the TX200 is also a good gun but I'd choose the S400 over it as it's recoilless and IMO more accurate!!
shooter22
get a aa 400 0r 410 get guns and will do both jobs get 177 great for hft and hunting ,some say 22 for hunting i say if you shot right and go for head shots only they kill the same, plus for targets 177 have a flatter trajectory ,but thats just my opinon
Edward
The tx 200 is a cracking gun, so are wineracks, I got my 95k with scope for (just) under your budget, cannot fault it
UKPoacher
Prosport, TX200 or HW springer other than the cheaper models.
the enigma
XL Tactical .177, if you want lighter rifle. Accurate little rifle, and with a bit of a tune they can shoot pretty smooth for a springer.
StevoSmith
Yeah HW77 or TX200 either gun and you will be sorted
HEAD SHOT NO1
I would hold out and save a little.Air arms s400 new for £320-340 and then buy a used pump or get a fill at the range. I rate any BSA Lightning for a allround rifle. BSA super 10s.I have 2 and for some reason there selling for peanuts lately £250-300 somply the best bargain youl ever get.I can remember when BSA ultras were £210 new, dunno what they are now but if you could get one new for £240-260 there good. I think your best bet is the s400 new.
