Dave-G
Well I always look to see if mine are floaters - 'cos sinkers are bad news
Axe
Dave-G , your running man with his hands held out to grab...I finally get it...he's after the bouncing broad!
Hubertus
hi Cranfield, thanks for the pic. Am i right that you install the pigeon on that with spreaded wings? is there any movement then by the wind or is it just standing still? So it seems to me nearly the same as a bouncer. Am i right? Thanks for your answers Hubertus
Dave-G
Axe - I came across the heavenly image yesterday and borrowed it to get something like... the good - the bad - and the ugly Now If I could just get them going round in a circle... Cranfield
Hubertus, it does sound as though its the same contration that you call a "bouncer". Boys, take your games to General Banter and stop interfering on serious threads, or henryd will get very cross.
Hubertus
i will too get very cross Cranfield, how long is your floater? And how big the metal? Is it a round steel or flat? Have you got a pic of the floater in action(with pigeon on it)? Many thanks, Hubertus
Cranfield
I have a number of bouncer/floaters. Bouncer 1 3 are adjustable from 3ft to 6ft, round rod about 10mm diameter, with crocodile clips at end of arms to hold wing tips.
Cranfield
Bouncer 2. 4 are adjustable either 3ft, or 5ft, round rod about 8mm diameter, with raise "L" shaped end to the arms ,which stick through the wings. They consist of two pieces of rod that slot together to form the longer length.
Cranfield
Bouncer 3. 4 are a fixed length of 3ft - 6 inches approx, round rod 8mm diameter, with circles at each arm end, that the wing tips fit into.
Cranfield
Bouncers 2 and 3 are homemade (not by me). The spike fits through the pigeons vent and is lodged in its head to hold it on. The wings are fixed on the arms as already mentioned. I hope this is helpful. Hubertus
Hi Cranfield, thank you very much for the pics you posted. That is quite interessting for me. We cant buy them here. Hubertus
Cranfield
Please note that I have amended the rod diameter, from centimeters to millimeters. :*) I have one of those faulty tape measures. Bouncers 2 and 3 are quite easy to make. If you need any more detailed measurements etc., please ask. Somebody might be able to post what the metal grade of the rod is. Hubertus
Please note that I have amended the rod diameter, from centimeters to millimeters. :*) i have realised that before. No problem mate Thanks again for your good explanation. Im just thinking about making a thread in the picture section where you guys can post your gear you have for pigeon shooting. I probably learn some more thinks we dont have here. Best greetings to the UK Hubertus
