Cookiemonsterandmerlin. The farmer or HM being a inland fella dont know alot about that side of things. Cheers in advance OTH

Cookiemonsterandmerlin.
So if I was walking my lurchers in sand dunes along the seawall and catch rabbits I could be done for poaching by the big cheese. Cheers OTH
poontang
The Crown Estate owns over half of the foreshore around the UK coastline, although much of this is leased to third parties such as local authorities and Natural England. The remainder is owned by bodies such as the Duchies of Lancaster and Cornwall, local authorities, port authorities, statutory bodies, government departments and the following distinctive examples: The Church Commissioners in Durham The Duke of Beaufort in the Severn Estuary The Beaulieu Estate on the River Beaulieu. The Crown Estate does not generally own the foreshore around the coastline of Cornwall, Sutherland and the Shetland Isles.

mudpatten
Work out a six figure map reference for the area in question, pay the modest Land Registry fee and find out exactly who the owner is.Simples. If, of course, the land has not been registered then this can lead to some interesting situations but generally speaking it is as simple as that. It is a method that `fowling clubs use all the time. reddan
Ive wondered this before. What is meant by below the seawall, is it below the hightide line? I thought BASC had an agreement with the Crown Estate for shooting most of the 'below the seawall' areas? Dan
mudpatten
You need to be aware that a lot of land which is below the mean high water mark is actually privately owned. Best to check with the Land Registry.
