Thunderbird
In response to the recent topic (you know the one) hopefully Spiderman will now, whilst not quite looking like Joey in that episode of Friends when he 'goes all Porsche,' will have the right gear to help enjoy his hobby. So now it's confession time, what clay / shooting gear did you buy initially (on advice or not) but now never / seldom use? Me: Hat, despite risking falling clays (I dodge 'em) I don't like shooting in a hat and only wear it if it's ******* down or snowing
Spiderdude
Even with all the advice I will still look like a walking advert for Beretta, that you can be sure of!!!
Breastman
Hats have always been mandatory at the clubs i've been to, presumably to stop them being sued? The only thing that i bought initially and haven't used is my set of full chokes Mark

Most clubs and grounds I use insist on ear and eye wear however hats are optional. The only thing that I bought initially and haven't used is my set of full chokes Yes, that sounds familiar actually, what's that quote, something like 'changing chokes is an attempt to solve a problem 80% of people don't have..' mickmep
my 682, persuaded that an o/u was the gun for clays. cant hit a barn door with it..... give it a try every couple of months, but it doesnt seem to get any better. other things that seeemed like a good idea at the time were an adjustable choke and a beretta cartridge belt/bag thing. Chris Bb
Gloves. Doesn't matter how dammned cold it is I just can't shoot wearing gloves. I now use a "Peacock" hand warmer and keep my hands in pockets when not actually shoooting. "Shooter's Aid" in-ear ear defenders, sooooooooooooo uncomfortable! Thunderbird
Snap caps - complete waste of time and gather dust on my window sill. I'm looking at my window cill (sill?) and the snap-caps in the presentation box I have for my 40th are sadly also languishing in retirement.
