huffhuff
Hi guys, My cabinet is getting rather full so have been on the lookout for a bigger cabinet. But, is there anything stopping me having a second 3/4 gun cabinet. I can't see why not, just want to check. Cheers...

huffhuff
I already have one, it's a 3/4 gun cabinet but a bit crammed. 3 shotguns and a scoped 17HMR... with a 22 on the way. Right, if anybody has a second hand cabinet in or around Herts - let me know Cheers guys, I didn't think there was a problem - just wanted to check. Andy H
You can have as many as you want, My FEO was concerned about the floor loading in my room until he saw the supporting wall downstairs underneath them made out of real brick's not a cheese celcon block wall . bullet boy
Yes you can have more than 1!
Psyxologos
You can have as many as you need to accommodate for your rifles/shotguns. When I applied for my FAC I already had a 3 gun cabinet for two of my shotguns. My FAC was for 2 rifles. My FLO did mention the obvious (I would end up with four guns and space for only three) as it was of course clear that I would need to get another cabinet. I ended up buying a 5 gun extra deep cabinet. So, yes. You can have as many cabinets as you need. Otherwise what are you going to do with your guns? Store them under your bed? My query was, can I have x2 3-gun cabinets. Or, do I have to buy a bigger single, 7-gun cabinet for example. Obviously I am not going to store guns under my bed. There could be spiders under there - are you mad!
bakerboy
No problem with more than one cabinet Ben, but if you do have to keep guns under the bed, Lesley will loan you her spider catcher if you want it.

You can have whatever you want. Even 10x 3 gun cabinets, there is no reason why they would force you to buy a higher capacity cabinet. It is up to you! retromlc
when i had 3 shotties and bought a 4th while the sale on my 3rd hadn't completed my FAO phoned me up and said I was only authourised for 3,that might have been because he inspected my 3 gun cabinet ,who knows
sitsinhedges
You can top and tail guns if you want
Bradders
I have a 7 gun safe and a 2 gun safe installed and a 5 gun safe stored in the garage. My FLO noted that I had storage for 9 guns (FAC and Shottie) so I guess if I want more than that i'll need to reinstall my 5 gun safe again. I don;t think its the number of safes that matter its the number of guns you can store in them......I'm sure I can squeeze more in my existing safe if I wanted
drut
I have two plus a seperate ammo safe, feo delighted bits spread between cabinets for extra security.
njc110381
I have two plus a seperate ammo safe, feo delighted bits spread between cabinets for extra security. Just what I was going to say. When I started out I asked the same question and mine said that if there are two safes to get off the wall instead of one big one then all the better. Makes sense really. I only have one big safe but am thinking of getting another for the shotguns to give the rifles more space. Only down side to having two cabinets is having to keep two keys safe. My keyring is big enough already!
