Hello all i have a friend who comes shooting wth me with an air rifle.

1, If i have a spare shotgun can he shoot with me in hide?

2, If he applies for his licence can he do that without a cabinet at the moment in his home but i will keep it in mine for him.?

Cheers Gents

oh cant remember but can his employer be a referee?

I know i should know the answers but my memory is shot to pieces (forgive the pun)

1. Yep

2. Yep

As for his employer, not sure on that one. Probably best to contact your FLO to see who they deem suitable.

If your pal has no SGC then he cannot borrow a shotgun from you & shoot it in your hide unless you are the lawful occupier of the land rather than just someone who has permission to shoot vermin. If you hold or rent the sporting rights then you are a lawful occupier. If you own the land then you are also a lawful occupier.

This is the relevent section in the act re your mate using your gun, open to interpretation ???

(5)A person may, without holding a shot gun certificate, borrow a shot gun from the occupier of private premises and use it on those premises in the occupier’s presence.
