Hi all

I am on new land tomorrow just drilled corn, watched it today as I was working at the time, loads of pigeons feeding.

I have 10 dead decoys a few days old, my QUESTION is do I lug the magnet and battery etc down a very long field or just stick with the dead birds.

I will let you all know how I get on which ever way we go.

Cheers

Yo, crocket.

Bit ,more weight to carry (or do 2 trips) but I ALWAYS have a fisherman's brolly in the truck with a spare piece of netting to cover it.

It keeps all of your gear dry if it "chucks it" , and more importantly

I hardly ever use my magic roundabout, but sometime use the flapper. I generally start with 10 dead birds and do quite well. The problem will always be - did the magnet make the difference or would they have dropped in just as well without it? How many birds did the magnet scare away?

magnets are good , but will never replace fieldcraft. in the wrong place at the wrong time they are hopeless.

Hi mark any pigeon down your way yet been out all day,

shooting crows of laid barley till 2pm then spent 2 hrs looking for a few pigeons.

Got 15 blackones and 7 woodies.

Need a change from crows need to find and shoot some pigeons for a change.

Found 2 of my rape fields that have been swathed but not a bird in sight.:lol::beer::D:D:no::)
