I you can afford it get a Simmons Whitetail Classic 3.5-10x50!There are much cheaper scopes around but if I was buying a Springer I would choose the Simmons WTC!

can remember these scopes being in the £200+, looking on the Internet coming up at £80+

these scopes being cloned or going down hill.

shame they don't still do the old tasco ag 3-9-50

YES and YES!

The original were made in the Philippines (check under the saddle).

I believe the latest incarnation of this previously excellent scope are made in China, whatever, they are not a patch on the original!

Have a look at these, come with a "gar-ran-tea" or something like that apparently but I had them recommended to me on another forum

ATB

The range of JSR scopes offer glass generally way above their price, the down side is the build quality/engineering.

I have several and know others who have them, I use them on the rimfires and centrefires and they are ok, could be I have been lucky, as I do know those who have had problems, however, I would say they offer excellent VFM and are seriously worth considering!

Hi mate are you changing from pcp back to springer and if so why??? I'm a novice but guys are telling me to buy a pcp AA 400 type they say you can't miss I like my springer it tells me when I'm doing something wrong and that's most of the time I think I would get bored if I never missed PS before any one shouts I only shoot paper targets but understand the one inch box rule for kill zone cheers

fat toad shot most of my life with air rifles, and most of it was with springer's.

the reason for the change back is, i mostly shoot shotguns, and i just want an air rifle that i can pick up and go, no faffing about charging, 59 now and pumping up a precharge would leave me fare worn out    if your happy with the springer stick with it,shooting a precharge is a different animal all together, the biggest part is lack of recoil.

cheers all for the input so far keep it coming.
