When i had my coaching day with Carl Bloxham he identified that i had a problem

with certain types of birds where as my left eye was trying to take over from my normal dominant right eye.

He gave me a couple of options to try, one of them to smear a small circle of Vaseline on the left lens of my

shooting glasses.

Well i have been doing this over the last three pigeon days and the transformation in my shooting in incredible..!!!!

it takes a bit of getting used to but once you have done it for a period of time its no particular hardship, and im really enjoying

being a shooting god

what if you dont wear glasses? im sure vaseline straight on the eyeball would cure eye dominance problem, but that because you'd running about clutching face looking for some eye drops!!

I'm sure clear tape does the same and stays on. If you don't wear glasses I don't think the tape needs to be clear Harry Black on your eye ball would last for ages.

You can purchase a front bead sight that helps avoid eye co-dominance issues, its basically a bead sight at the end of a tube, your left eye cannot see it but your right eye can.

I have co-dominant eyes and whenever I shoot shotguns I slightly squint my left eye, ironically when I shoot scoped rifles I keep both eyes fully open.

i did the vaseline on the lenses for a while ,but bought a pack of little clear stickers from a game fair, not expensive looks neat and only blocks out what you require, also use a easy hit but the stickers did the job for me ,i was missing right to left a couple of years ago but dealing with eye dominance took a while but cures it :good:
