fendrover90
whats the general opinion of the new cci 22 sub segmental round are they worth the extra £1.50 a box
CZ550Kevlar
Mixed, they travel faster that my usual subs, i still get ricochets and still see them passing through a rabbit and bouncing out the otherside, give a few a try and see how they suit the land you shoot on. welshwarrior
I like them find the acurrate and work well on my area but it is quite soft. Kill as well as Winnie sub x and just as quite to my ear.
kent
Best killing .22 sub ever, bounces like anything else. Start with a clean barrel
mick miller
I found them to be pony. You're welcome to try a box of mine for nish if you can find your way out of the fens! Ricocheted worse than anything I've ever tried and couldn't group at all with them.

Were you expecting them not to ricochet the hype is just to sell them in the uk, worse than anything? not realy imo but anything will bounce on dry hard ground, dont think they are any worse than most myself then again they are no better- but how do you prove that?. Dekers
I'm not a fan, they are not accurate, they still bounce and they don't kill bunnies as well as my Magtech HP subs. Must still have half a box somewhere. Others love them, funny old world!
kent
i should stick with the winnies i think To be fair i use Lapua, the CCI are very much a second choice as Lapua outshoot everything in my gun on accuraccy. That said they don't stop them too good on chest shots in comparisom ( who cares though nearly all are brain shot unless they are running) Winnies are good stoppers also though
hyflier
I tried 'em and don't like them, massive expansion which is fair enough, that resulted in a quick kill. They didn't chamber well in my 452 and I found them inaccurate beyond about 40 metres and thought they bounced spectacularly well . I soon went back to my favourite Eley hollow nose subs I still have a few of those CCI things somewhere and keep meaning to dig a deep hole for them
JRDS
I tried a box in my Finfire. Not at all accurate, very hard to chamber and every other one supersonic. I couldn't imagine a worse Sub.
willy1
I've tried them as well, and in one word, first letter S, last letter T, inaccurate, bouncy, and some were supersonic, not worth the extra IMO.Stick with Winnie subs. Alan
CZ550Kevlar
I have CCI subs and they really are pants in my 10/22T & i still have 400 left!! i`m going back to Magtech too.
Newsportshooter
I have CCI subs and they really are pants in my 10/22T & i still have 400 left!! i`m going back to Magtech too. In mine too (although I dont have 400 left fortunately...) Heard someone sum them up quite nicely the other day - 'The only difference between them and other subs is that with the CCI you get three ricochets for the price of one'.... Not to mention the fact that I paid £7.50 for one box :( thank God I only bought one box... Edited August 6, 2011 by Newsportshooter
mick miller
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who experienced supersonic CCI segmented and problems chambering. I haven't a clue what to do with mine, but I only have a couple of boxes left. Use Eley subs all the time, winnies are nearly as good. Only problem with the Eley's is the waxing you get after firing a couple of boxes. Which results in the spent round not extracting well. The PW straw poll then rates CCI segmented as total pony. Best avoided.
