Lord Geordie
We had a guy rabbiting with his DOG on our land Didn't see us though. He was walking with his dog down a side of a hedge with his backpack on and a fold up spade jutting out the side (you know the type) Anyway he is stopping and looking under the hedgerow for bolt holes etc and JUST as he reached the gap in the hedge Me and the Brother in Law steps in front of him To say he was shocked to see 2 lads tooled up was an understatement he must have caked his pants poor fella We asked him what he was doing on the land and he replied (stuttering) taking my dog for a walk. So we pointed out the public footpath was THAT way and we think he was poaching hence the shovel So we got the normal (well what are YOU doing here?) Wait a minuet mate i KNOW were here for SOME reason. Guns in hand carts in pocket OH YEAH were here to plough the field NOT Anyway he kept himself rather well behaved till he was about 300 yards away heading off to the path with his tail between his legs. Then he swung round mouthing some form of abuse but we couldn't really hear what he was saying. You can bet it wasn't "thank you you fine chaps for keeping me on the strainght and narrow path" LG
webber
My shooting pal and I turned up at a farm to shoot over a field of rape. As we were setting up we noticed a chap with a bird on his arm and went over for a chat. As we drew closer our suspisions grew greater. Bandana man, had a beautiful Harris Hawk, and some interesting tatoos, few if any were correctly spelt. We had a chat for a while, and asked him how often he flew his bird on the land, how many rabbits did he get etc. Did he have permission to be on the land? He claimed that he had, but could not remember the farmers name, so we helped him by contacting the farmer by mobile phone. It transpired that he had not given anyone permission for falconry, but added that he had no objection to it. However as bandana man had not bothered to seek him out and ask permission he could *****r off, and that we should ensure that he did. The bird had knackered the pigeon job for the day, so we packed up and went for a drive around some other farms. Bandana man has not been seen since, which is almost a pitty. webber
Pedro
I found a bloke ferreting on one my permissions. To be honest, you see it so rarely round here that I left him to it. Saying that, I haven't seen him since. It's a pity really, I'd like to see how it's done as I've never had a go at it before P.

kwiky
i was deeking pigeons one day, sitting under a tree with a deek up on a lofting pole in the tree above me, BOOM! loads of twigs fall on my head followed by my decoy, another lad who has permision on my land with his 12bore thought it was real, i **** myself to say the least, he was very apologetic and offered to buy me a new one and asked if i wouldnt tell anyone, i said it was ok and we left it at that, a few months later i was out stalking with my airgun when i saw him with a maggie deek and a dead rabbit, i hid in a bush and opened fire, i hit it 3 times before he worked out where i was shooting from , i offered to buy him a new one but he refused, needless to say he now makes sure to double check if its a real bird
