Like others on here I've got a few chucks - barbu d'uccles (bearded & booted bantams). I have shown a few, but they're just for a bit a fun really.

Main hobby is showing Belgian Hares - a very old breed of rabbit dating back to the 1800s. Sadly, there's not many breeders left now. I've won many Best in Show awards with them and the surplus also makes fabulous meat animals - can't beat a good dual purpose animal :good:. As I always say, "There's winners and there's dinners"

This photo is one of my top winning does and they are cracking animals - far more intelligent than bog standard rabbits.

(note to self: must start to lose a bit of weight. There shouldn't be quite so much of me showing in that photo  )

my dad loves the BH he has quite a few of them and the furr ohhh my lord stunning

Keep Rift Valley Ciclids (fish).

Both sea and game fishing.

Motorbikes, I ride on road but really love my track days. It's the only opportunity to really rip a sports bike, 90 mph seems a whole lot faster when your knee is scraping the tarmac, and flat out genuinely is flat out, on my current bike that's 150mph ish! I spend a lot of time watching the bike racing too.

Walking the dogs, normally with DSLR in hand, you never know what you may see while wandering the Sussex countryside and coast.

Used to scuba dive but it's taken a back seat atm, you only have so much free time!

their fur is like realy thick moleskin/velvet

Think you might be confusing the Hare with the Rex rabbits. Rexes have the real plush velvet coats and you are right to say the feel is quite exquisite, but the Belgian Hare is supposed to have quite a strong, stiffish texture to the coat.

Ack-Ack, they are fabulous animals to live with. They are beautiful with the grace and elegance of a thoroughbred horse. They shouldn't be at all thick set and cloddy like a shire horse. Some of the Hare men I know have had them over 50 years and wouldn't have anything else, but we're desperate for new people to take some on.

I'd love to but it just wouldn't be fair on the creature. I've got Terriers and they'd distress it.

I'm blown away by it tbh, its absolutely outstanding.

Been flying r/c aircraft for about 25 years now - fairly good now :D These days flying 1/4 scale and bigger gliders is my main-stay, but a touch of DS (look up dynamic soaring on youtube) also gets the blood pumping. Building them is great fun too of course, but quite time consuming.

I do a lot of fly fishing and fly tie-ing, get away a lot in a self-build motor caravan all over the UK, lots of dog walking, bushcraft in the woods is a great relaxer.

The most relaxing thing though is pootling up and down rivers in my canadian canoe :)

Fishing; Fly, coarse and sea from the bank and from my kayak. These days I don't fish any water where I have to pay and have found and fished lots of undiscovered places and caught loads of wild fish that have never seen a hook.

Camping; We go off for at least five trips a year, mainly Cambridgshire, Nth Yorkshire and France.

Farming; Helping out at a sheep farm every day as the farmer is getting on a bit and has had health problems.

Photography - macro and scenics.

And counting the days to my retirement (9) :)

Once we sell the house we'll be moving to France for a year then making a decision from there.
