Foxer
Well yesterday at about 2:30 in the afternoon myself, my dad, and grandad were out on the farm sitting in a barn waiting for the rain to stop. We could hear a lorry coming and saw it go past the gap in the hedge then as it went around the corner we heard a very loud crash and bang, my grandad almost imediatly said 'well thats our shed gone' and yes it actually was . But we were lucky in one way as about 10 minutes before we in that same shed , the most lucky person of the day was the driver as he only had a tiny little cut on his arm. Anyway i got out my phone out and took some pics and here they are. Sorry to tell you all this but im quite bored at the moment

Foxer
yeah my dad said something similar but when he said it there were one or two 'naughty words' . Its a real shame it happend though as the sheds have been there for over 100 years so my grandad said

Poacher
bosh sorry to hear that foxer, why don't you use the old bricks to rebuild the shed We get alot of big lorries around near us that don't know the roads and drive to fast, one of them smashed into a bridge recently
Foxer
it doesn't come out in photo but alot of the bricks are broken and cracked and they have all cement stuck on them so we will probably use some of the old ones but mainly new bricks. Hunter
I like the picture of the police officer with a broom next to all the bricks on the floor think it will take a bit more then that to clean that lot up. (no offence to the police force)

Foxer
tenbears10---> i hope his insurance is paying aswell because i certainly wouldn't like the bill lurcherboy---> im glad we weren't in the shed at the time aswell. Another lucky thing was that just a day before this happend we had a sow giving birth to piglets in there, but later that evening we moved her out We had to pull the lorry off the road with a tractor as the throttle had become stuck fully open in the crash and you couldn't get it in gear as it was all bent in the cab. It took a while for us to clear up all the bricks but we just loaded them in a tractor trailer and got them off the road. This was probably the talk of the fen as not alot happens down where i live very often
Lord Geordie
Looks like the Driver had SKIPPED lunch as was in a rush to get home Be he was BRICKING himself when he lost control You have a veritable gold mine there Sell the OLD bricks onward AND the skip companies insurance will have to pay for the demolition of the NOW unsafe building 2 lots of cash LG
Dead-Eyed Duck
I could do with a skip as mother is due to muck out son's bedroom soon. I see that there are two on the lorry - are they going cheap? Wasn't there a topic a short while ago as to how to make a mobile hide - that lorry would be ideal. It's probably being run on red diesel anway.
Foxer
Lord Geordie----> We are in the process of cleaning all the mortor and cement off the bricks ready for selling them. We saw some reclaimed bricks advertised in the local paper that we think are the same as these ones and they were 40p each so hopefully we should get a bit of money for them Dead-Eyed Duck---> I can see it now, rallying around the farmers stubble field in a skip lorry picking up the dead pigeons and chucking them in the skip, then off to the gamedealers to sell them I think we may have a new business venture here foxer
