smirff Posted January 9, 2012 Report Share Posted January 9, 2012 Hi im new to the site but have been following it for a couple of weeks now and have to say its great !!! Im 32, new to shooting and hand delivered my shotgun application today, hopefully it will speed things up I used to do a bit of shooting with my father when i was younger but took up fly fishing instead, i fished for a team here in northern ireland for 5 years all over england and scotland but now with two young children i cant get away like i used to. I went out over christmas with a friend rough shooting and have now got the bug , a family friend signed my authority to shoot on his land 75 acres a great area, mostly dairy farming but two large wooded areas where i have seen pigeons heading to roost , i also plan to get knocking some doors as i work shifts and only work 12 days a month awful i know , but would like some other permissions as i dont want to be on his land all the time. I also joined BASC another great site , i have loads of questions but will keep checking the forums to find their answers, once again a great site and looking forward to being a part of it i will keep you posted on my application many thnaks.
