JR1960
I've got some but if you've got a steady supply of dead birds I wouldn't bother, you can't beat the real thing.
pigeon controller
We always use real birds as they move with the wind, do not shine. Can you tell the difference between a plastic decoy and a real bird so can pigeons!!!

mpk
Dead birds are the way forward with out a shadow of a doubt
ack-ack
A chap I shoot with has got an ancient set of shell deeks with real wings glued to them. Up close they look shockingly shoddy but he's got birds dropping in like billy-o. Very effective.

Can you tell the difference between a plastic decoy and a real bird so can pigeons!!! If pigeons really could tell the difference, not many of us would shoot a lot of pigeons. Pigeons are simply not that clever. As for the original question.. Whilst i have shot a couple of 200+ bags using hypa flaps- and i think they look quite good - if i had to choose, i would go for dead birds. Cosd
Nice and lightweight for the kit bag, Hyperflaps are an excellent bit of kit I think. Work well on the magnet and on bouncers, though they don't work on the magnet when there is a really strong wind. Of course nothing is going to be as good as the real thing, but these come close I think.

Cheers Matt I use hypaflaps on my rotary and usually don't bother changing to dead birds. They work well for me and certainly extend the battery life. Outlander
Hyper flaps are good but you are far better off with real birds.I have used them at the start of a session but change as soon as I get a couple of dead birds.
