blade
I went to look for a new semi on tuesday choice between the benelli supersport carbon fibre or maxus carbon fibre. Both were nice guns but the benelli fitted me better and is stunning to look at.And i can hit pigeons with it.This place i bought it from has still got the maxus carbon fibre in brand new might be to far for you to travel though. http://www.thecountrystore.co.uk/shotguns.shtml Edited February 25, 2012 by blade

evo
watched a mate use my gun from about 60yrd away and to my horror everytime he moved the barrels it was like switching a flashlight on and off and it was overcast aswell,,was totally shocked,,, i re blued them and they look like brand new barrels and i am made up with the job i did but then this,, if i can see them then the pigeons will from a mile away at least  just had a look at the birchwood casey sight black,,very expensive at £8.99 for a 3.1/2 oz spray can,,anyone got any other idea,s thanks all sxs for me anyday,,,love em  mate uses a a semi but i dont feel safe when he does,,,is there a cartridge in there or what,,but thats just me

chrispti
I sold mine as I did not like; - The feel - It was to light for me - I could not get the stock (comb) high enough - Main gas spring snapped - Jammed occasionally Other than the above, the gun was nice and one of the softest felt recoiling and least muzzle flip autos Iv used

But I love mine. It points and swings well. I do find it wont cycle Hull CompX 28g's though but no biggy for me as they are pansy carts anyway. Goes well with my Cynergy. It's also easy to clean, some can be a bit of a pig. Edited February 25, 2012 by danb21t
Cosmicblue
I had a 28" Grd3 for a year - it is a beautifully made gun and mine would cycle 24grm loads (I only shoot clays) happily. Having followed 'all things Maxus' for a couple of years it seems that some owners have problems and the majority don't. A great gun and very 'pointable'. So what did I part with it? I missed the crispness of a conventional shotgun as I became aware of all the noises as it cycled the spent case and chambered a new round and P/x'd it for a 425 as 2nd gun. gemini52
I have a grade two, just use it on clays its very soft to shoot and to be fair its not gave me any trouble up to now its cycled any cartridge i put in, including 21 gram a really nice well made gun. Tod
thanks for all the posts, been to euroguns today to try one and found it just a tad short in the stock, i know you get get extra shims to give it more length but i also found the recoil pad very grippy and sometimes snagged when mounting, having not gone claying for over a year due to pigeon shooting when ever i get free time i dont think i can justify getting one.
