miroku_fan
I thought that I would share with PW members some photographs of my new gun for next season. Apologies in advance for the quality of the photographs. The gun is a 20 gauge Browning Heritage with 30" m/c barrels. It arrived yesterday at my RFD courtesy of Mr Matt Morgan, director of Premier Guns, Doveridge. The service I received from Mr Morgan was exemplary. miroku_fan
I shot a few rounds of skeet with it yesterday afternoon. The Browning performed faultlessly. It is fairly fast handling, very pointable, well balanced and the recoil with 21g/ 24g loads was no more than a gentle push into the shoulder. It shoots very accurately! Whitebridges
Nice gun. Personally, I prefer the look of the 20 bore Heritage to the 12 bore version. Have some fun with it. :good:
miroku_fan
Nice gun. Personally, I prefer the look of the 20 bore Heritage to the 12 bore version. Have some fun with it. :good: I agree. The sideplates on the 20 gauge I feel look more in proportion and more elegant than the 12 gauge. In my opinion the sideplates on the 12 gauge accentuate the height of the Browning action and they do not look in proportion to the rest of the gun. It also does not help that the 12 gauge action also appears very angular. In fairness what appeals to one person might not appeal to another and it is good that we have a choice. Paul T
Wow, that is a very nice gun! I'm not normally a fan of Brownings, but then again I've always only looked at 12g and thought they looked too 'chunky'. The 20g definitely has more appeal and I could find cabinet space for that . Come to think of it, I don't have a 20g
