snipe
I usually give my dogs wheetabix with milk, but the pup has now started turning her nose up on it. Should I just give her what she has for her other meal/s? i.e. field & trial mix. This just seems a bit boring for the dogs, but that could just be me humanising the whole thing? Thanks, Snipe. stokie
dog food ..simplzzzz it's what they eat Exactly what it says on the tin Your not supposed to give cows milk as a mutt can't digest it properly My dad went through a phase of trying to brighten up his dogs food because he didn't want him becoming bored but now he's ended up with a 44 kg Labrador
BangBangNik
We feed our lab on oscars dog food. He gets 200g morning and tea time and he does brilliantly off it. If you want to spice it up abit a spoonful of natural yogurt is meant to be good and aids digestion aswell. We don't bother though.
ferguson_tom
Mine get their normal dog food and some days get the left over breakfast and dinner. So bread cereals, sausage sandwhich, hot cross buns and in the evening pasta, roast dinner, fish and chips etc. But i do keep a close eye on their weight and this is only as a treat not a complete meal. snipe
Thanks for the replies. Thought as much, unfortunately. I am trying to humanise the whole process. I'll revert to the dog food. Thanks again, Snipe.

chris o
People that treat dogs like humans and feed there dogs the same stuff as humans do my head in. Its a sodding dog. Dogs it dog food only. The only time my dogs get human food is scraps from a sunday roast and thats it. Rest of the time its dry buiscuits in the morning and night. FalconFN
I agree. We give ours dry food daily but we supplement that with raw rabbit, raw eggs, raw meat trimmings or a quarter tin of Chappie. Dogs have a different digestive system than us so they can have problems with milk, bread etc.
arwen3513
mine have kibble breakfast and tea, but i do liven it up every now again with raw egg, plain yoghurt, or tinned sardines in tomato. they do get tidbits and treats but they have to earn them. also have raw food sometimes at weekend in place of the kibble, jan
