njc110381
As some of you may have read, I fell on my rifle when I was out Foxing last week and dented the turret cap on my scope pretty badly. The scope took a hard hit and shifted zero a little but all in all it took the impact very well. I emailed MTC to ask where I could get a replacement cap and also for an estimate of the price. I figured it wouldn't be much but I got an email back the next day asking for my address so they could send one out to me. I mailed back and within two days it was on the doormat as promised, free of charge. I know it's not an expensive item but I thought that was a very kind gesture. I can think of more than a few companies that would have charged over the odds to cover the bother of sending out such a small part but MTC did it for free and very quickly. They're certainly worthy of consideration if you want a good mid priced scope. Thanks MTC, I'll be buying more of your kit in the future. Beretta28g
The question is whether their optic quality is as good as Schmit, Meopta, or Swaroski
humperdingle
The question is whether their optic quality is as good as Schmit, Meopta, or Swaroski Their prices aren't comparable to those brands. So 'no'. But for a price easier on the wallet, they're pretty good scopes.
activeviii
fair play to MTC. they didnt have to as you daft begger fell, full weight on your rifle and scope so your fault for not picking your feet up. i wonder how some of the higher end scopes would have faired with 19 stone falling on them onto cotswold stone. i was impressed. mick miller
The question is whether their optic quality is as good as Schmit, Meopta, or Swaroski No but their new Genesis model gives the Duralyt a run for its money at half the cost. That isn't too shabby.
cooter
You can't ask for a better service than that. Dealt with MTC twice and been delighted with the service level both times. I got similar treatment from Falcon last year. I thought I had a problem with the target turrets not returning to zero on my five year old Menace. I contacted Falcon and they asked me to send it to them. They gave it a complete service, and full lab and field test, and found nothing wrong with it (turned out to be poor batch of ammo). They sent it back with a test/service note, new flip ups and a set of cleaning wipes, all for the cost of me posting it to them.

Catweazle
Gary Cooper has put his name on MTC, so the service has to be good. If there's one person I would trust above all others in the shooting industry it would be Mr C.
Salop Matt
I can only sing MTC`s praises to, I cant afford of justifie any of the big name scopes for my air rifles and rimfire so both my rifles have MTC on them and i know some complain about white out quite simply the cost and the service are brillient and thet products do everything i have ever asked for. Although if i can pick up a FAC Daystate I may try falcon as they are ment to be very good to !
wymberley
Agreed, they are a superb company...."...... Just as Cluson are. Service really counts and these 2 have it by the bucketload Yep, they both serve us well. As said by others, I also fear that Beretta 28g missed the point. I really think that MTC has filled the missing niche between cheap and cheerful and expensive top quality by providing a reliable very good product at a reasonable cost. Surely, this must be the bracket in which most of our (shooters collectively) money is spent. I can only speak for myself, but as purely a live quarry shooter that was brought up on iron, I much prefer simplicity with regard to an optic reticle in the form of, say, a duplex. The Genesis is not too cluttered in this respect and gets away with it at night as when lit, only the small centre cross hairs are illuminated. The Viper on the other hand is not quite so clever - even on the lowest setting. Whereas I think the air rifle and target lads are in favour of these class of reticles, adding a plain straightforward alternative (yep, I'm aware that you can't please all of the people all of the time) to this superb product range would take it out of the 'niche' category into that of major player sooner rather than later - although with the reviews here and elsewhere, probably, 'later' is not going to be too far distant. njc110381
The question is whether their optic quality is as good as Schmit, Meopta, or Swaroski It's as good in the dark at 10X as my Bushnell Elite which RRP's at over double the price and has a larger objective lens. Is it as good as my Schmidt or my Docter? No, but you're comparing a £300 scope to a £1300 scope. For the money I've never used anything better but for more money I've used worse!
