Beardo
Over in the States this week - met up with my cousin, and he showed me his new concealed carry pistol... .380acp Sig-Sauer P238, don't like the grip much but it's amazingly carryable and a joy to shoot. Beardo
depends on the state, you have to have a specific license to concealed carry in Pennsylvania.

Mungler
I just looked it up as a vid on you tube. They're frightened of their own shadows in the states - the bloke bought his concealed pocket carry pistol for the 30 yard walk outside to his mailbox. Maybe he should spend less on guns and move to a nicer neighbourhood Nice little gun though - very small for a wallopy round. 6 in the mag and 1 up the spout and no bigger than an iPod? Just out of interest how much is something like that new in the States? Edited May 4, 2012 by Mungler

HDAV
depends on the state, you have to have a specific license to concealed carry in Pennsylvania. for PRofessional purposes only i.e. good reason or just because you want one? US gun law is as strange as ours from the NEw York no gun to the texan fill your boots and then some! I always wondered how it works when travelling from state to state? demonwolf444
check out hickok 45's channel on youtube if your interested, he has loads on CCW pistols in the states, and also shows some of thier capabilities, it 80 + yard shooting with pistols, and even some at 230 yards.. not usally a limit on how many you can own, but normally common in most states that you have to have a licience to carry concieled Real interesting i think, and from what ive SEEN a .380 is the smallest anyone would reccomend for CC and you will see simelar sized guns in .45 acp etc so i wouldnt imagine they kick, recoil or hurt to much. John_R
Cute... and as stated a punchy round for a little gun. I have been shooting one of these CCW type pistols out there, among other things: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_kMSYwo-WCBc/S0cnGWwTNdI/AAAAAAAABN0/EgV8Ucn3kBs/s1600-h/Raven+Arms+MP25.JPG Edited May 4, 2012 by john_r

John_R
It is a State thing, in Nevada you can do a course and get a license for CCW. Another of my local friends there has a Sig Sauer .357 which is pretty lively. A light composite gun that packs a punch. I think I prefer his Glock 9mm. I've shot both of these hand guns I found the glock 19 more powerful as its plastic and rubber mainly, both fantastic, if only we had the same rights, I'd go for the glock Cant wait to go back to the states next year to do more shooting. I shot better with the Glock. Another 9mm I tried was Beretta 92 FS (if I remember right) in 9mm Parabellum. From memory again I think I did better with the Glock, indeed out shooting the guy that owned it which was quite fun.
SAVAGE HMR
That's a cute looking little thing. Personally I'd rather have something bigger like a Desert Eagle .50 Cal That way when I've blasted seven rounds at him and missed, he'll be disorientated enough with the noise that I can club him over the head with it! coyotemaster
do they have a limit as to how may guns they can own over there nick ie 2 hand guns 4 shot guins 2 asult rifles Overall-- no limit. But the political climate could change things. Each time a gun is used in a crime the anti gun lobby all point their fingers and say get rid of the guns. As Nick pointed out each state varies, most of the western states, except Californica, are pretty open as far as concealed carry and most types of shooting. Texas is pretty lenient as well. The east coast is restrictive as is Illinois, probably because of the Chicago influence.

coyotemaster
i realy need to move to the states timothy i could have my own small arms store Better save money for bars on the windows, gun theft is a real problem here. A gun safe is good investment. I will disregard that remark about "being scared of their shadows" as ignorance and a hasty generalization, there are some areas I would not go with out packing, as the saying goes better to be tried by twelve than carried by six, and I consider myself quite able without the firearm. coyotemaster
cant be that bad timothy have you ever been to glasgow they would steel the bars then rob your house I guess I will cross Glasgow off my bucket list!! Most of the guns used here in serious offenses are stolen from residences. Gun control is all about holding steady and a good trigger squeeze.
