Canis
simple answer, If you need to run the purchase by your boyfriend get a beretta- otherwise buy the browning. I wouldn't assume the 725 is the better model because it costs more than the 525, you want the one of the two thats fits you better ... the main change the 725 has been produced with a shallow action which should to with measurements to suit people with Betetta like measurements more readilly. Browning need to do something about the 725 sporter though -the sooner they produce the sporter with proper engraving the better or they will loose customers in the UK market. Will Poon
Were any of the replie's helpful? They were meant to be but gun manufacturers are an imotive subject. Thanks all for the advise I'm steering towards the 725 sporter, unless something else comes up
ChrisAsh
I must admit I feel the lack of engraving on some shotguns seems a bit of arrogance by the makers. they still are happy to sell you higher grade wood but cannot be bothered to make the gun look nice with even laser engraving.just like makingcar in only non metalic black Edited May 8, 2012 by ChrisAsh
Ryan gun
I own both and they are both fantastic but you could buy a 50,000 purdey but if it did not fit it wouldnt be worth anything too you, just get the gun wich fits and suits you,it doesnt matter what anybody else thinks its when you get good scores that count Atb ryan (also i prefer the beretta over my bowning lol )

I think the 725's look pretty basic, well the ones i've looked at an picked up in the racks have been. I've never shot one, would like to try one. I do not like the fore end at all. I'd like to pick up a grade 5 or 6 just for interest.

Dont worry about gixer1's comments canis, he loves his pretty little Beretta's, Im sure when he gets a bit stronger and able to handle a mans gun, he will loose the pretty girlie's gun and join the rest of us

artschool
so what have we learnt from this thread berettas are pretty, feminine, light and slim. Brownings are manly and strong, remember folks as Arnold says...............
gixer1
Big heavy guns do not compensate for a small penis... But you can continue to try with your browning.
chrispti
If I wanted a penis extension, Id go and buy a Range Rover GMK's chief stocker making some final adjustments, adjusting the LOP on the new silver pigeon 1 Edited May 8, 2012 by chrispti
mr salt
the one that fits you. As a clay gun i cant see why you would buy the sv10 without kick off. Try kick off tho before you buy as some say it move too much. (silver pigeon as good or better) Some sv 10s have ejector problems. Brownings are very well made but i dont like them.(dont fit me as well)

tbox
Where's the popcorn when you need it!! Both the guns you are looking at are quality products and there is only one answer to this question chap and it's the gun that fits you best, feels best in your hands, and that ultimately you feel happiest with! Just been though the same thing myself. ended up with a 725 but was a close call! - Good luck!

wiltshire-woodcraft
They are chalk and cheese. Shoot both yourself, back to back if at all possible, and you will have no doubt one way or the other
BerettaSV10
They are chalk and cheese. Shoot both yourself, back to back if at all possible, and you will have no doubt one way or the other +1 From my own experiance beretta's do fit differently to browing's and miruko's, If you can try them out to see how they handle, that way you can see if you need to go down the beretta or browning type of fit. the one that fits you. As a clay gun i cant see why you would buy the sv10 without kick off. Try kick off tho before you buy as some say it move too much. (silver pigeon as good or better) Some sv 10s have ejector problems. Brownings are very well made but i dont like them.(dont fit me as well) I like browning's its they just don't fit me with out changing the cast :( The Kick off on the SV10 can be a personal thing, I like the kick off, but friends do say they feel the gun moves to much for their liking. +1 with the SV10 ejector problems, mine had to have the ejectors sorted out. Silver pigeon as good or better :hmmm: depends on the point of view, got both silver pigeon 1 and sv10. With the sv10 about a £1000 more than the SP1 you need a lot of good reasons to spend the extra. Though like both for different reasons SV10 kick off is a heavy sporter and can soak up a good days shooting no problem. SP1 light weight sporter still good all rounder, yet to take it out for a full days shooting, have regularly taken it out to shoot around 150 cartridges. The £1000 differance can get you loads of leasons and cartriges to practice with Edited May 15, 2012 by BerettaSV10
Harnser
Don't worry - I corrected that for you... in all seriousness - not to take it off topic - both have a reliable and solid reputation, it's just that Beretta's are prettier and better made... Not quite right Gixer , yet to find a beretta with chopper lump barrels . Buy a beretta and hope they have brazed the barrels into the lumps properly or you will have flux running out of the joint for years .Any how the browning is a mans gun used by proper men south of hadrians wall . Harnser . Edited May 16, 2012 by Harnser

0145wirbelwind
As people say again and again just buy the gun that fit you best and not the one that looks the best.. All a gun is , is a tool. You really dont need the nices peace of wood to break clays or drag across the fields. As long as you like the way it shoots and you are happy with the way it fits and feels then you are half way there
