eastlincs
Hi all, sorry if this isn't supposed to be posted here but new to the site so not sure what's what yet. Ive finally had my house visit about my license so i should soon have it and be ready to buy my 1st shotgun. Just wanted to know if anybody from this area could recommend a good shop to go? Im going to go look in derek lees as he has a good selection and i got my air riffle from there but i dont really know of any other shops around here. Also does anybody know of anybody who does lessons around alford area, i know theres whitelodge but thats a little far, or even somebody thats willing to let me go somehwere with them and just give some simple lessons. I have upto £1000 to spend on a gun (ideally id like to spend less of course) any suggestions as to what i could get in that sort of price rang, new or s/h. thanks alot Edited June 1, 2012 by joss

saab6110
Hi Joss, Sounds like I'm down the road from you. Have a look at at MGR Guns at Woodhall Spa Andy is the owner there and is very friendly and helpful. When my air rifle was in for repair he lent me a "Loaner" Pop in and see him as they always have a good stock of 2nd hand guns.
triumphant59
Derek Lee probably not the cheapest for 2nd hand guns. MGR at Woodhall have a very good selection. if your not sure about gun fit try elderkins in Spalding, Bill is not has expensive as you might think and if a gun needs altering they are very reasonable. Good look

eastlincs
change that, thinking of buying a second hand one, seen one for £480 like new, two years old. Just waiting for my license to turn up. Such a annoying waiting game, i had the house visit about 4 weeks ago and he said it was all fine etc...how long does it usually take to receive your license after the house call? I dont really want to ring up asking about it, they dont seem to pleased when you ring asking. But i applied in january.
