here you are graham another line from one of his posts.

i supose it does help having a 14 shot auto though.

time it was closed i think. :D

Obvious in that case he has a HMR

love mine wouldn't be without it, I shoot with a mate with a .22 and he's stopped bringing it out. we've not got that many rabbits and lamping at night a 17 means you can cover most fields without driving on them where we are so makes it very useful in my eyes. as for wind well you have to learn to compensate but its not difficult!

Its a great rifle.

Best suited for those who haven't got the skill or patience to stalk in close with a Rimmy and do the job quietly :D:good:

has anyone got a bad word to say about this call?=

Yes, Impossible to silence/moderate. Great range, wonderful accuracy But scares every RAT away for miles. Personally feel it's a bit small for bunny's but well just my opinion.

I prefer to stalk to a sensible range with a 22. :good:

It’s OK Mimic, it was just something that someone posted because his mates had told him that they were doing it…… :D …….and he believed them. :D

Impossible to silence/moderate

Don't agree - you cannot SILENCE them - but you can MODERATE them. My Savage with an ASE UTRA mod is very acceptable. Don't forget that a moderated round that sounds really loud from 6" away often sounds very different 100 yards away - and that is what counts.

I Know - I know - I promised to shut up on this topic after my previous, but so many 'experts' keep coming out of the woodwork I cannot help it.

I'm done!

this must be a windup post or possibly one that shows where the myths come from.

A BIT SMALL FOR BUNNIES its obvious you have never used an HMR it is far better than a .22 rimmie and does a lot more damage.

You might get the odd runner with the .22 but once hit with the HMR they are DEAD ask anyone who uses them regularly.......:lol::lol:
