-Mongrel-
Looking for recommendations please... I need new safety boots, they must be light, comfortable, water resistant and steel toe capped. I also need new trews, requirements are hard wearing, multi pocketed with knee pockets for pads. Cost is an issue here, I don't mind spending 50 quid each or so, but that's about the limit, 150 quid boots are not an option. What do you use and recommend? digger
I wear Caterpillar boots. long lasting and very comfortable. Dont get frozen toes in the winter when the steel toe gets cold. Good ankle support and Ive never had anything pierce the sole. Mine are just over ankle height and the support is that good I broke my leg as opposed to my ankle! JBS
I always have hoggs work boots, for the money I don't think you can beat them, as for the rest of my kit it all comes from Englebert Strauss, not the cheapest but good quality which lasts with plenty of choice and styles, sizes etc

ack-ack
I always have hoggs work boots, for the money I don't think you can beat them, as for the rest of my kit it all comes from Englebert Strauss, not the cheapest but good quality which lasts with plenty of choice and styles, sizes etc I'll second that fella. They are one of the only firms that does Hi-vis trews with less than 80% polyester. Quite well cut as well.. Their catalogue is the nuts. As said, not the cheapest but if youre in them 10 hrs plus every day you don't want the cheapest believe me.

Very comfy cat boots but since breaking my leg on site after the open lace eyelets got snagged on some Netlon I'd advise a field mod. Get a set of nips and cut the bloody things off. Trevorevans
V12 for boots, really comfy and hard wearing. As said above any trousers really as they will get ruined quickly, but on saying that our company did supply dickies red hawk trousers for a while and they proved really good, still wearing them 5-6 years on.
