P03
Well it seems that after all the bad press Tesco got at the hands of the shooting press, after reporting a bloke to the police for legally shooting a deer, they have decided to become 'shooter friendly' and have started stocking the Shooting Times. Of course not to be outdone, where potential customers are concerned, Sainsbury's have followed suit (in Bristol at least). So, it seems that we're not all social outcasts for killing small furry animals anymore. I'd be interested to know if anyone seen any shooting mags in other supermarkets? PS This is through personal observation only and may not be companies policies

Pedro
Hopeless down here, you really have to search around for shooting mags. WH Smiths and a little corner shop are the only places I've found in Chelmsford P.

pin
Supermarkets have become so big the way they order things, its comical sometimes. Take an item you bought at another supermarket and re-buy it at a place which doesn't stock it. You can be sure the system will order another up and it will appear in stock with the next order

Mungler
So are you saying that if you bought say for example some filthy pron, snuck it into your local Tescos and presented it to the cashier for scanning, then next week Tescos will be automatically stocking filthy pron? Sounds like a plan to me.

Ferret Master
Hi, The shops round here are very good for shooting mags. Smiths sells them all. Sainsbury's sells most of them ST included, and even our local Costcutter store gets a few in every week. FM

il cacciatore
WHSmiths are the only one that I can think of right now who stock a full range of Shooting mags. Tesco, Asda and Morrisons dont. Some petrol stations sometimes sell GunMart I've noticed but not anything else.

kip270
My local Tesco has sold shooting times since 2004. Maybe before, since i only moved here in 2004 But you have to be fast, they are all gone by the Saturday
Lord Geordie
My Local Morrisons don't stock ANY magazine about shooting and when i asked them about it they gave me the cold shoulder and some rather dim witted woman commented on WHY they shouldn't stock a magazine based on cruelty to animals I asked her how SHE would like to piggy back her Husband round a field all day and when she said NO i pointed out the Horse riding mag and asked her IF all riders asked their horses for permission to ride? Why do they need a crop? Shurely whipping the horse is cruelty Can't do it to my Son so why to a horse Of course she couldn't answer. 16 Bore
Does anyone know how to get a store to start stocking a product range? (other than buying it twice !!!) Ian
pin
Normally ask for the manager (you won't get him/her but some sap) and request the product. They will give you some schpeil about how they can't order it in just for you but they have a list and if enough people want it they will get it in. Thats how it was when I worked for a supermarket a long time ago
