BerettaSV10
yea, so i'm told. maybe i just did not give it enough of a chance.... I found with some s/a as soon as you pick one up they just don't feel right, tried a few times going through the racks and each time the same type of s/a won't feel right. If it does not feel right you probally won't be happy shooting with it.

lewis2012
Weatherby SA08 around £550 new. Sems nice gun anyone got 1? Or maybe used?
Fisheruk
Just obtained a Franchi for £130. Great gun for the money, why pay more. Oh and by the way avoid those gas operated guns, a pain to clean. Nothing to really go wrong with a Franchi as it is built on the lines of the Browning and what Browning didn't know about semi autos isn't worth knowing. defender
I dont want to spend that much, as i already have an O/U. just always liked the idea of a semi... so £300/400 tops. I had an Armsan (£350) with the red receiver which looked and worked good I hit stuff, but sadly it was a friday afternoon gun that had a fault and had to go back. Then later I managed to find a nice Browning Gold sporting clays for very near your price range. I decided I like the speed loading of the Browning, although its easier to go through your cartridges quicker
Bluebarrels
Franchi 612vs good gun for the money,£300-£350 will get you a decent s/h one BB

Alanl50
I have an Escort been faultless just dont try and put 65mm carts through them, mine will just about handle 67.5mm but 70mm will cycle all day, and if you buy new 3 year Edgar brothers warranty. But if you can run to it moneywise Id recommend Winchester SX3 I use one for hide work and they superb, soft on the shoulder, easy to handle and so on and so on, lol The only fault is they throw the empties miles lol. John Browning was a brilliant man with many patents to his credit but in all fairness, and without meaning disrespect, there have been a lot of well designed gas autos made that shoot a lot softer than old John's designs. stu nesling
+1 for the franchi's. have had 3 gas versions and they aint that bad to clean. can still go 500-1000 without a clean if needed. plus point being the recoil in the gas ones is pretty lite. 612/712/raptor would be my choice. Alan +1 on the above - my FAC Hatsan s/a cycles everything that isn't 65mm all day and hits stuff.... cost me £200 - what more could you want!
